Show Notes

Stanley Kunitz has said that art is the chalice into which we pour the wine of transcendence. Rev. Patrick talks about transcendence and the need for community.

What does it mean to have a spiritual experience? What does it mean to be a spiritual teacher? To be a healer? We must have the desire to change, the experience of illumination, and the intuitive contact with the ultimate reality that theologians call the Godhead.

We seek the simultaneous perception of the sacred and the ordinary. It is the mystical experience, not as climactic, but as a constant incremental experience.
