Young people in or seeking recovery face strong cultural headwinds. Young People in Recovery (YPR), a grassroots advocacy organization, is focused on creating a national network of young people in recovery. Special guest Justin Luke Riley, president and CEO and a founding member of YPR, is 27 years old and has been in long-term recovery for seven years. As a natural leader and gifted public speaker, Justin has been featured in USA TODAY and MTV-Act for his involvement in youth leadership and community engagement, including serving on the executive board for Faces and Voices of Recovery. Justin shares how YPR empowers young people to take charge of their futures through advocacy for improved access to treatment, educational resources, employment opportunities, and secure, quality housing.
