Recovery means a whole new way of learning to love yourself. Addiction or enabling someone’s addiction makes us fearful and selfish. And that’s very different from being self-loving! Special guest Chris Shea, M.A., CRAT, CAC-AD, addiction counselor, campus minister, life coach, nationally recognized speaker, and author, shares what loving yourself means and why it is a powerful spiritual action. Chris shows how psychology and spirituality work together to create self-respect and self-valuing that add up to healthy self-love. Chris’s personal and professional philosophy focuses on two basic concepts that bring self-awareness and inner peace: keeping our thoughts on the present moment and practicing some form of daily meditation.
