Free From Hate, Free to Live, Free to Help

Entering recovery from alcoholism started a powerful transformation for special guest Scott Shepherd. By taking a long, honest look at himself ,he began to move from racist to active nonracist. As a very misguided, unhappy young person trying to escape the pain of family alcoholism, Scott chose a life of racism. Even though he didn’t really feel the racist things he preached, Scott wanted to belong, to fit in, to be part of a family. Today Scott is grateful to be free of what had trapped him. He is on a mission of education and self-education with the hope of helping prevent other people, mainly younger people, from falling victim to the racist recruitment traps and tactics used by racist organizations. Scott shares how recovery transformed his life and how he helps others.
