Spider-Man Crawlspace Podcast

We are celebrating our 500th podcast with Spider-royalty. Paul Soles, the original voice actor of Spider-Man in the 1967 cartoon, is our guest. Paul talks about his time on the first cartoon to ever feature Spider-Man. He also talks about voicing Hermy, the elf who wanted to be a dentist in the classic Rudolph Christmas special. JR takes us back 46 years in Spider-History for this episode. In March of 1972 Spider-Man got his first ongoing spin-off title. It was a trend that continues to this day. In this episode JR takes a look at *Amazing Spider-Man #106 *Marvel Team Up #1

Spidey had a lot of memorable fights on public television back in the 1970s and not many people have heard of them. George is joined by Cobwebs author Mark Alford for this episode that looks at Spideys Super Stories from the Electric Company television show. Spidey takes on the Queen Bee, Spoiler and the Thumper. This is a fun episode and stick around until the closing song for some fun flashbacks.

JR takes us back to February 1974 for this month in Spider-History. Only one issue of Spider-Man came out this but it was a big one. It is the first appearance of Frank Castle as the Punisher. The Jackal also made his first appearance in the book who would go on for decades by tormenting Spidey with clone, after clone, after clone.
