Show Notes
Prisoner of war camps during World War II were ideally thought to be abroad in war-torn countries. To our astonishment there were hundreds across the United States. 40 of which were in Wisconsin and 2 right here in Milwaukee. Assistant Entertainment Editor for the Journal Sentinel, Chris Foran joins Spanning the State to share more about his historical deep dive. He shares where the camps were, what prisoners were held in these camps, and why did we have these camps here in the first place.
