Today on Spanning the State Kristin Brey and Brian Noonan talk about the declining population in the state of Wisconsin that is projected to be lower than 200k residents by 2050 . They discuss ideas of how to curve this dwindling number, the complex systems of becoming a US citizen and the financial medical hardships stopping people from having children. Later Damian Buchman stops by for Giving Tuesday to talk about the Ability Center. He talks with Kristin and Brian about how the organization helps advocate for people who are temporarily able-bodied. Then most people have a cabinet full of plastic bags, Kristin and Brian chat about their hoarded bags and how local groceries like Metro Market and Pick N Save are trying to cut down on them.
