This one’s long overdue: We are more than happy to finally welcome our long-time friend and label member @djtobineumann to our mixtape series! ❤️ Tobi, who calls himself a "Tanzmusik DJ“, has been in the business for around 25 years as a musician, producer, sound engineer, synthesizer collector, modular freak, tutor and studio owner of the @apollostudioberlin 🎹🎛️ He’s also a very passionate DJ who regulariy travels around the globe and is known for a wide range of electronic music styles! 🔊🌍 For the Spandau 20 Mixtape Series he contributed a mix of „Old School" meets „New School", House meets Techno 🏠🖤 Have fun and dance! 🎉

Next up for our mixtape series are scottish legends @slam_djs! 💥🔨 The two fellas met in the late 1980s and started out as promoters & resident DJs in several clubs in Glasgow. In the early 90s they co-founded the legendary @soma label, which now counts over 600 releases and is home to some of their biggest hits like „Lifetimes“, „Positive Education“ or „Eterna“ 🎇🤯 Over the years they have gained a massive international following both due to the massive success of their countless releases, as well as their uncompromisingly energetic dj sets 🎹🎛️ Enjoy an hour of heavy-hitting techno material from the masters themself! 🧨

Next up in our mixtape series is the incredible @helena-hauff 😍 We are extremely happy to have her on board for this one, since she is easily one of our very favourite DJs! 🙏 Helena started out as a resident DJ at Pudel Club in Hamburg, a legendary space where she perfected her mixing skills that now make her one of the best djs in the world 🧨 Over the last 10 years she has not only stuck to djing but also produced her own music, resulting in two albums that she released in 2015 & 2018 which were both widely celebrated, as well as several EPs. For Spandau20 she has delivered one hour of pure vinyl-mastery, full of electro / breakbeat gold and we couldn’t be prouder to share it with you today 🖤

Could somebody please pinch us: @luke-slater is up next for our mixtape series! 😍 The british musician, dj, producer and label owner has been around since the 1980’s, operating under countless aliases such as Planetary Assault Systems, The 7th Plain or L.B. Dub Corp just to name a few 🤯 Luke's 1997 album „Freek Funk“, as well the releases on his own label @mote-evolver have played such an important role in all of our lives and his ability to still deliver at this level after being in the game for so long, is something that inspires us and makes us look up to him 🙏 To list everything he has achieved in the last 40 years would go beyond the scope here, so without further due: Luke Slater for Spandau20 🖤

Up next for our mixtape series is @lockedgrooves! 🔒 Born in Belgium, but now based in Berlin, Locked Groove (don’t mistake him for our latest release please) has released on several labels in the last 10 years and even started his own one "Locked Groove Records" in 2013. He released his debut album „Sunset Service“ in 2019 and has also been involved in several sound design projects ever since. For our mixtape series however, he delivers an hour of classic Chicago anthems, as well as raw industrial jams aka the style he is best known for 🔥 Enjoy!

We are very happy to welcome our next guest to the Spandau20 mixtape series: @faerbermusic! 🧨 The Hamburg-based fella has been a very good friend of us for more than 10 years now, which is why we’re more than glad to finally have him on board for this one 💫 Faerber is a resident at one of our favourite german clubs: PAL 🖤 In 2018 he founded his own lab TILT with friends and organized events nationwide. Hop on for an hour of high-paced energy, techno & breaks 🔥

We are beyond excited to present you the next contribution to our mixtape series: @rodhad 🥁 The berlin based DJ, producer & label owner Rødhåd has been a good friend of us for almost a decade now!🎚️🔊💥 He launched his party-series-turned-label Dystopian in 2009 which released his debut album "Anxious" in 2017. Just 1 year later he founded his label WSNWG where he just put out a 4-Track collaboration EP with our family member Fadi Mohem. Listen to this mix to witness once again how he always looks out for the perfect balance of timeless and hypnotic techno, combined with fresh releases to lift the dancefloor and get everybody in the groove. ⚡💥📢 Enjoy!📶 @rodhad

Up next for our mixtape series: @naty-seres!💫 The berlin-based DJ and producer is one of the newer additions to the booking roaster of @berghainostgut, where she recently started her residency 🏢 Initially born & raised in central germany, her eclectic sets have brought her the opportunity to visit many corners of the world within the last few years. In 2021 she also co-founded her own label Never-Not-Now together with a bunch of friends 👏 Enjoy an hour of breaks-driven and techno-focused energy! ✨

Next up for our Mixtape series: @kettamabro 🔥🔥🔥 After releasing a highly sought after and soon sold-out debut EP in 2018, his trademark blend of hefty kicks and catchy riffs has led him to release on multiple renowned labels ever since and also enabled him to prove his dj skills on an international basis regularily 🌏 🎹 Last year he launched his own label @gtownrecs that he co-runs with @redbullschuh 🍾 We are happy to have him join our mixtape roaster, since he is one of the most promising artists out there 💫

We are honoured to have a true legend joining our mixtape series: @djbone🦴 The detroit native is one of the most skillful DJs on the planet. You can definitely hear that in the fire set he just delivered. In the 90s he regularily played in the motor-city's biggest clubs, most notably as a resident DJ for the "Love Club" at the legendary Shelter Club. From there on he got booked for gigs around the world soon, mostly due to his immense dedication + hard work for the craft. 🎛💪 He also founded two record labels "Subject Detroit" and "Encounter", which aesthetics are futuristic & unearthly - while still displaying the true essence of Detroit-Techno's soul. 🌃🌆 Enjoy an hour of mastery from one of the all-time greatest!!!

Next up for our mixtape series we’ve got the very talented parisian artist @francoisx join the team. Starting out as a resident dj in the legendary, now closed Concrete club in 2012, 10 years later he looks back at countless gigs at numerous institutions all around the world. He also launched his first label @dement3d in 2011, followed by @xxlabrec in 2021, which functions as a research platform for independent minded artists whose musical aesthetic is oriented towards avant-garde electronic music. Enjoy!

Up next for the mixtape series: @chontane 🥁 The berlin based DJ has been in our orbit for a while now, regularily playing at parties in some of our favourite clubs around🎚️🔊💥 The mix is taking it back to the roots, combining tribal rhythms & slamming techno with warm and soulful soundscapes 🌌 In 2018 he started releasing his own music and has since put out several dope EP’s on well established labels, one of the releases being a collaboration with our homeboy @jmanuel-werkmusic!🤝 Enjoy!🍿

Are you ready to sweat like it’s 1992 and there is no proper deodorant? 💦💦 The next mixtape comes from nobody else than the legendary @dj-godfather from Detroit! 💥💥💥🌎 Get ready for 1 hour of total ecliptic old school madness from one of the best in the game, recorded live and on tape in 1992 📼 You are in for a very special one! 🤝

Next up for the Spandau20 mixtape series is NYC based @holden-federico💥 Although he is mostly known as a crate digger, he started his way to establish himself as an artist aswell and just released his first solo-EP in winter 2021 🎛️🤝 This mix is a representation of his vision for the dancefloor - a build up, dreamily riding up into peak time techno that blends melody, texture, soul, funk, and emotion. It's a blend of his favorite modern tracks, 90s cuts, some of his own own productions + unreleased tracks by artists he deeply respects. 🖤 link in bio

Next up for our mixtape series is @onyvaa! ✨ Born in LA and now based in Paris the young musician has made a name for herself within the last few years by playing clubs and festivals all around the world. 🌎🌏🌍 2016 she started to run her own imprint called Passeport Records. Enjoy an hour of high-impact dancefloor killers! ⚡💥📢

The new addition to the mixtape series comes by slovakian madman DJ BOSS !🔌⚡️⚡️ Beside his abilities to push the early 2000 techno to another level, his energetic performance and innovative tunes caused an impact on the electronic music community. Ravers got to know this new sound - firstly called "Slovakian Techno." On top of that his music often finds place in this mixtape series & aswell in our DJ sets quite often. 🎚 His sound has been unstoppable till today 💥 So go n get your boss breeze !! 🔊

We can’t imagine a better way to close out the year than to have one of our heroes and all time favorites on the Spandau20 mixtape series. There are few people that have inspired us as much as Surgeon @dynamic-tension, be it with his timeless, forward thinking productions or one of his out of this world live sets that he is so famous for 🎛️ Although it's been a tough year, moments like this and many others in 2021 make us feel incredibly happy and inspire us to keep on pushing forward ⚡ Thanks to everyone (fans, artists, promoters, friends etc.) who is supporting us on this journey, you are the best, and please enjoy the Surgeon Mix!

We are very happy to welcome our long-time friend @bambounou to the SPND20 Mixtape series! 🙏❤️ The french fella has been doing his thing for years, managing to maintain a high-quality standard both in his dj-sets, as well as in his productions. Starting out as a young prospect on 50Weapons, where he put out 2 full-length albums, „Bambi" has had several releases on AD93 (fka Whities), Trip and other great labels. 💥 Earlier this year he launched his own Bambe label, providing you with a-class material!

Next up: @estellaboersma, delivering a killer uk influenced mix ranging from bouncy breakbeats & bass to merging techno 💥🔊 Although she only made her EP debut this year, you’ll already find a lot unreleased material in there, that is set to be released soon! If this your first time hearing from her, be assured that it will certainly not be the last! ✨

Next up for our mixtape series we have no other than @lenfaki, gifting us with a killer mixtape recorded back in 1999! With more than 20 years in the game, Len Faki has shaped the sound of techno like few others did. Be it in the Berghain dj booth, where he has been a resident dj since its opening in 2004 or with his legendary @figure-official label: Len continues to stay at the top of his game, continuously reinventing himself.

We are very happy to welcome one of brazils finest offerings to our mixtape series: @theladymachine has over 20 years of experience under her belt, all while keeping it real as a pure vinyl dj. Nothing imparts her deep musical research and precise technique better than this heavy hitting, well-crafted mix, easily fitting the pornceptual parties, where she has become a resident dj a couple of years ago.

New Spandau 20 podcast provided by original UK Techno legend Ben Sims. The Hardgroove/Theory Boss is one of the genres most technically gifted and hardworking DJs, who has been spinning Hip Hop, House and rave on pirate radio and parties around Essex and East London since the early 90s. 🤩 we are proud to present you the latest contribution to our mixtape series by Alan Oldham 🤖 His career as musician and graphic artist began in 1987 when he was hired as an overnight program host on Detroit's Public Radio. His program "Fast Forward" was the first-ever radio show in Detroit devoted to electronic music and was described as most-avantgarde during that time. In 1990, Oldham's creative association with Netherlands-based banging Djax-Up-Beats began, leading to a legendary visual identity! 💥 @dj-t-1000
