Ep 138the cosmonaut diaries
Ah, dear listeners, you've arrived! Right on time and suited up for our galactic travel into the cosmic realm. Today's episode is one of personal reflection and realization. Dear listeners, I have a bit of a story to tell. One that probably should stay hidden in the shadows, but one that I will share nonetheless. Many moons ago, like a lot of moons, there was a cosmonaut named Tunepilot who was a bit of a wandering soul, trapped in an aimless pod that didn't have the best luck dodging comets and debris during skyward ascensions. While the intended pathway imagined was pure and innocent, the pod's trajectory was without purpose as its destination was unrealized. Dear listeners, the sync between the pilot and vessel were in need of extensive calibration. Moreover, the journey required a co-pilot, one with an empathic soul to map a voyage to the zenith of an awakening. Well, as the pod drifted aimlessly towards distant destinations very, very far away, Tunepilot found his Astronautin! This Astronautin greatly altered the arc of Tunepilot's ascent and took controls of the vessel, steering into a veil of growth, comfort, solace, and elation. With such a co-pilot, long term success seems only imminent. However, after many, many moons passed, it was evident that Tunepilot wasn't actively pursing opportunities to excel towards a zenith of ascension. Rather, he chose to be an innocent daydreaming bystander, and as he waded in the serene shores of self-assurance, he was discounting the importance of driving the mission skyward and developing as an equally contributing cosmic partner. As such, the integrity of the team was being compromised. So, Tunepilot made the decision to sacrifice himself to allow his co-pilot to sail further along an enlightened pathway to the stars. The chute was pulled and Tunepilot was left floating in the cosmic debris. The Astronautin did shine on missions as expected, and Tunepilot once again became a wanderer without purpose, floating aimlessly in the static. After 30 revolutions around the sun, Tunepilot sent a subtle transmission to the former co-pilot, one that echoed an apologetic tone of past mission failures. It goes without saying that it is quite challenging to take ownership and explain to shipmates the reasons for abandoning co-op missions. Pride and guilt construct the wall that is difficult to soar through as time and circumstance shrink our opportunities to reap good karma and smooth the turbulent waves of our past journeys. Dear listeners, at times we need to hold our breath, climb out of our pods, and embrace discomfort as we set free the debris that clings to our vessels, as well as the vessels of those whose starships pass by us on our journey of life. Tunepilot hesitated to fulfill mission requirements during systems checks and the amount of time floating aimlessly in the ether multiplied exponentially. The story has a somewhat peaceful ending, dear listeners. Co-pilots can be forgiving. And, well, sometimes not. Soaring though different galaxies forever alters the interior and exterior of each traveler's voyaging pod. Everyone evolves in different ways and the expectations at the edge of the universe might not always be what one might envision. Pack enough rations to endure the unexpected outcomes and keep your heads aimed at the stars. From every storm a new day dawns, the stage resets, and we have a chance to once again smooth the fields of karma. Allow this rebirth that you experience by setting positive karma in motion as your own awakening. As for the Austronautin, the past missions failures were pardoned, and the final leg of the voyage log was stamped 'Lebewohl'. Ep 147radiant pastures (tonepoet release)
Dear listeners, I have a unique listening event for you all. Normally, your old boy Tonepoet would not post his own music except by sneakily inserting into an episode. Well, I just released some new music, and I really wanted to share this with you all. I've created a special mix of the album in its entirety. I've sought to build a tapestry for admiring Mother Nature's earthly canvas as best I could. Here is a synopsis from the liner notes: "As I've meandered across continents in my many travels, my mind always bottles the essence of the landscape around me as a model of how nature moves across Mother Earth, creating a template and backdrop that develops into unique inspiration. Rather than forming alliances with mental snapshots of concrete jungles, I've always been captivated by nature’s grand mosaic. While one would believe that aging depletes the pristine images that Mother Earth has painted within our memories, for me that couldn't be further from the truth. Decades may have passed since I last partook in a European spring, yet the fire-gold fields ignited with ruby poppies remain etched in my mind’s eye. I can still feel the sun’s opulent warmth delivered on the wings of countless butterflies. From my sojourn in Asia, I carry the enduring jade-green memory of mist-shrouded mountains, their peaks blushing with shyness as they dipped into the ephemeral cloud cover. The rolling hills and majestic mountains draped in a thick, verdant blanket of dense forests as the peaks rise like ancient guardians, softened by the summer foliage I’ve amalgamated panoramic galleries from the jagged peaks and rolling valleys that stretch across the sun-baked sierras of the continental US to the icy spires of Alaska that could pierce the sky, each vista an awe-inspiring masterpiece that stole my breath clean away in sheer wonder at how such a divine spectacle could possibly transpire. I long to spark within you the sacred fire of the same awe that consumes me when faced with Mother Nature's unblemished glory. My music on this release is but a whisper of adoration, a testament to beauty we cannot better. These lands? They are a divine inheritance, a gift from the stars. As the music’s colors wash over you, breathe deep and honor Mother Earth all of her splendor. Peace." My music is (always) free, my gift to you, dear listeners. Ep 145echoes in the cosmic dust
Shhh..... Dear listener, I hear something.... It's very, very faint. THERE it is again! Did you hear it?? It's an echo of some sort. A repeated signal nuance and sonically degrading follow-on carbon copy of an initial sound (which is perhaps long gone). It appears as though it is a transmission of some sort that seeks to beckon voyagers like us to heed its intended mission chronicles. In effort to set out on this unique voyage of discovery, I will summon upon a well-versed space aficionado from across the pond. The controls of the space pod are now in the hands of LUCA GHERARDI, my trusted co-captain for this flight and a veteran to the universe of sound. Dear listeners, together he and I will forge a lighted pathway beyond the stars which upon you may tread, through the galactic curtain, and deep into the source of the sound that beckons us. Ensure that your immersive headphones are adequately secured as Luca sets the journey with his music as the cosmic runway. As we ascend upon into the higher realms of your imaginative space, breathe deep the sweet nectar of sound. This nectar forms the cocoon of solace which envelopes us for our safe passage towards the cosmic dust we seek to explore. It is within this dust that we will find the echo and discover its true meaning and intention. Dear listeners, don't lose focus on the amalgamated sound fuel which powers our space pods. The path of enlightenment is fully lit, all we have to do is align ourselves with our mission. Coasting into the cosmic dust, we'll notice that the echo gets louder and more distinct, guiding us like a moth to a flame towards what will be our mission statement. Don't seek to end the journey so suddenly in effort to gain a sense of accomplishment. Rather, sink into the cosmic dust and allow tranquil moments to engulf you. It is here, dear listener, that the mission statement will be made clear, and one which can be summed into a single word. And that word is... Peace. Ep 144memoirs from the lone voyage
<<//sysboot//commcheck//==// <<%sys%lone%voyage%>> <<dlr8con>><<affirmative>> <<dr3am s3qu3nc3>> Dear listeners, are you there? Hello?? I'm not sensing a distant feedback loop from prior transmissions, and I'm beginning to wonder if my comm links have expired. I will have to send this transmission as if I'm being monitored at this time (and, I assume that I am). In the meantime, a recalibration of the dynamic dream mainframe is in order, and I sense that the malfunction has to do the the latest systems upgrades. I definitely explained to the Aural Mechanics engineers that upgrades before missions tend to be problematic and introduce risk. It sucks to say that I was the one that told them this and am still suffering the consequences of a directionless drift. Dear listeners, am I the only one that deals with such a predicament? How often is it, my fellow co-pilots, that you feel as though you are the single one with clarity, awareness, and a vision of how to succeed at co-op missions? Yet, from not exercising initiative, you take a back seat to the unsuccessful endeavors of those around you? Worst yet, you are the one mostly affected by these miscalculated setbacks. Dear listeners, your old boy Tonepoet feels your pain. We are aligned in our algorithmic endeavor as seekers of peace and solitude. Thus, we'll confide in one another. Sometimes you must face your battles alone and head on. This brings initial discomfort and discontent. It's a turbulent cosmic storm, dear listeners, and the best we can do is ready our space pod for the incoming forces and brace ourselves. It goes without saying that better times are ahead, and the relief and release of such tense times and actions find us being rewarded with a sense of freedom. Not every storm weathered will leave us undamaged, so we need to strive to have our brighter moments be our (imaginary, yet optimistic) co-pilots as we steer through the debris fields of life. My fellow travelers, let us focus on the light at the end of the dark tunnels and be patient with our arrivals into the brighter days. We might not come out the other end undamaged, but don't let us be defeated. Let us ride this journey on the wings of our aural staircase to the stars and take just a moment to breathe, focus, and recalibrate. Track your journey in a mental travel log as memoirs of a voyage to a distant yet accessible region lined with stars. Ep 140the dream factories
Ah, dreams, so bizarre and unexplainable at times. The glorious world where imaginary adventures spring to life and deep seated fears come crawling into your grey matter. Not only do we rely on our sleeping dreams to show us new avenues of inspiration that illuminate the pathways to creativity, we largely seek to focus on our waking dreams. You know, the aspirations and goals that constantly push us deeper into commitment and determination. That, dear listeners, is the goal to today's session. We often hear the tired phrases 'dream big' and follow your dreams'. Great for motivational posters, yet this is barely sufficient wisdom enough to push us to our zenith. Your old boy Tonepoet will share a bit more words of wisdom with you by providing the adage 'share your dreams'. Sharing your dreams with others could potentially uncover a co-pilot that will provide checks and balances towards your goals and aspirations. For every situation and person, there does indeed exist a co-pilot that has tread along a similar pathway you seek to traverse. A worthy co-pilot gives you motivation when you need it most and may provide creative solutions to dilemmas along the way, as if they were shooting the asteroids that block your pathway. When you need the support, your co-pilot will provide this. Keep in mind, though, that this co-pilot does not provide this valuable service completely free of charge. The small cost is to be the same beacon of light and hope to those around you that need your guidance and assurance along their own pathways to victory. Small price to pay that only requires the fields of karma are reaped with care. So, let's fire up the machinery of the dream factories. We'll develop a prototype mental backdrop for which you can envision milestones along the way towards your dreams. Let the comfort of sound provide you with moments of solitude that smooths our the waves of turbulence upon the ocean of discomfort and discouragement. Stay motivated and keep your eyes towards the stars. Every step back will be met with two steps forward, don't give up. Make sure to high five your co-pilot following each bit of forward momentum and let them know that Tonepoet sent you. Peace. Ep 133the dream awaits
NOTE: THE AUDIO FROM THIS EPISODE WAS DELETED. THEREFORE, THE EPISODE REVERTED TO A DRAFT. THAT SAID, THIS IS A REPOST (SORRY!). I HAVE MORE EPISODES LINED UP, FEAR NOT. Dear listener, where have you been?!? We are tasked for a mission with an estimated departure time of now! Your old boy Tonepoet simply refuses to set sail into the cosmic horizon as a lone voyager. Our standard operating procedure mandates a strict directive for enlisting a co-pilot; one worthy of commandeering a vessel that bends the horizon while burning the skies, leaving behind a vapor trail of dreams and aspirations. You, my dear listener, are that co-pilot. All aboard! This mission is not one to disregard or discount in any way. A tapestry pathway automates the controls that guide us towards a universe that exists within a very small space: the space between your ears. This is where the dream lives. With this session, we will fill the crevices of confusion and stress with an auditory putty, one that consists of equal parts solitude, hope, love, and wonderment. With this putty we hope to banish aforementioned confusion and stress. Dial your mental compass toward the curtain of cosmic ether and allow the blanket of sound provided to emanate a warmth that caresses your soul and lifts you into an elevated state. Yes, dear listener, our mission is an investment into you! The plateau that we seek is one of self realization that you are a larger-than-life carbon entity filled with a passion to strive for an optimal creative flow. It is in this instance that I will assume duties as the co-pilot as we touch down into your place of clarity where the sun never sets. Your lighted soul will pierce the heavens, and move through the air at the speed of light. You've got this! As you drift into this zone, remember to look around you and appreciate everyone as you share good thoughts in effort to reap the sweet nectar of karma. Once you become synonymous with your dreams, be sure to assist others with achieving similar outcomes. The dream is here, you just need to reach out to it. What are you waiting for? Ep 141reminiscence
[Before we get started with today's episode, I wanted to just share that Spaceman's Transmissions has been selected as #3 on the top 10 list of ambient music podcasts on FEEDSPOT. Thank you, dear listeners, for your support and co-piloting expertise.] Listeners, I have a unique travel itinerary planned for today. First off, let's welcome this episode's esteemed co-pilot REAPZ5, who joins us on this voyage all the way from Malta. He brings along a special blend of vibe and color that we will pipe through the sonic terminal mainframe during our ascent, flight, and descent. Additionally, this journey requires a particular mission statement. We've received special clearances through assiduous processes to arrive at the final planning stages for this remarkable expedition. This assignment was borne through unanimous requests via our call center headquarters. We have diligently amalgamated a journey into the realms of the past which require us to reverse our course back to a time and place of deep and purposeful significance. Although we will begin the journey together, our destinations will be quite different from one another. There is an oasis of memories that will be visited in effort to bathe in viscous waters of gratitude while assembling a paper boat to sail down the streams of reverence in honor of those that have meant so much to us. This gratitude brings us to our mission statement, which is as follows: "Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." - Melody Beattie Although Buddha (wisely) tells us that we should focus on the present and ignore that past and future, our focus needs to be one that pays respect to those whom have tirelessly laid the bricks upon which we tread. These departing souls have given us a piece of themselves so that we are able to bear the torch of their legacy through action and word that exists within us. Listeners, those that influence us and that we seek to emulate through positive deed and karma are indeed still existing spiritually. The pathway into the negatively painful aspects of reminiscing is enticing. This is not what our mentors and loved ones would have wanted. Rather, they are looking down upon us with hope that the positive traits we gathered from them will be spread like a seed to those souls which need guidance, love, hope, and joy. The graceful traits of those we cherished are in a limitless supply within us. Share these gifts with the world. As we revolve upon the Ferris wheel together, look out from the highest point we reach to that place where only you can identify as your sweetest memories with those whom you miss. Remember the lessons that they taught you, and hold your head up high with the ambition and strength that they imparted unto you. Carry their legacy to that high point, sharing it with the world around you as the curator of this unique gift. Your departed loved ones would be proud of you. Peace. Ep 139horizons of the mind's eye
Oh, there you are, dear listener. Welcome aboard Spaceman's Transmissions, your trusted source of cerebral voyages near and far. Our co-captain (and ambient cosmic navigator) ANCIENT ASTRONAUT has made the initial announcement and confirmed our state of cosmic voyage readiness. As a thoroughly qualified flight instructor in progressively challenging galactic star-hopping, it is our honor to have such an esteemed navigator assist us with sailing into the heavenly curtain. We thank you for your patience as we calibrate the main navigation component of the spectral simulator within the mainframe. This is pertinent to our voyage and guarantees that our AACM (ascension acceleration control mechanism) into the blue curtain is is working at its peak optimal capabilities. The very last thing that our technicians want to do is perform systems checks during any point of our ascent. This kills the buzz, harshes the mellow, and depletes the creative flow. That's not my bag, man. Please help yourself to the refreshments from the cart during our sweetly soft voyage to the remote horizon (I recommend a delicious Korean corn pancake and some yogurt milk). Once we have our green lights operating and full systems checks have met approval from the tower, we will climb into a sparkling ocean of aspirations and dreams by lighting our candles of creative power. Let this candle deliver its illuminating warmth that brightens dark caverns of indecision and other burdens that bind you to discomfort and stress. Expel your burdensome baggage for this mere hour, and allow yourself the luxury of Spaceman's Transmissions full service flight to be a driving force in carrying you to that realm of your true potential and self-realization. It is at this horizon that we will search a not-so-hidden well of creative flow and solace that bubbles up below the surface of the universe. Don't be afraid to jump in, you will stay dry even though fully immersed within this well's enveloping viscosity . Feel the tingle as your mind, body, and soul are replenished with creative power and joy from the spiritual cleansing. Once we have recharged out life vessels, we will safely deliver the new 'you' safely back home with a renewed sense of accomplishment, purpose, and motivation. Wear your new self proudly, and pierce the heavens! My power is with you. Ep 136guest mix: silas (spring on the battlefield)
Greetings, dear listeners, and welcome aboard Spaceman's Transmissions intergalactic courier service. Though we never exercise the mandates of viewing our terms of service, I'd like to take a moment to summarize the conditions of said agreement in as few words as possible at this very second. The summary can be summed up into this: turn on, tune in, sleep... The staff at Spaceman's Transmissions is dedicated to providing an optimized listening experience as the best in-flight entertainment one can find. Cheating you out of this golden opportunity would be a disservice and would diminish our reputation. Okay, mumble jumble out of the way, let's get on with the purpose of our mission. We'll begin with a very tiny story. Brief, but vital to the mission. There was a time, not too long ago, but also at the same time a long time ago, in which there was a flourishing field of ambient mix enthusiasts on MIXCLOUD. I was only a junior flight instructor in training, green in the field, and a directionless (yet eager) disciple of sleep journey amalgamations. The atmosphere of ambient creators was electric, and there was a lot of networking that I sought to nourish. Every weekend, your old boy Tonepoet would saddle up to a few hours of listening and marvel at some of the masterpieces created by those that I considered top-tier flight instructors. Many of them I've hosted here before (JUNKYARD ANGEL, FACTION, DJ SEROTON, and SILAS), as well as quite a few others. One of the most impressive visionaries to me was Silas, whom I still seek to emulate with the amount of perfection and precision he applies to his sessions. In my opinion, I'm not even close (still), so for me it's been about the journey and not the destination. Silas is without a doubt a sensei of sound, and one capable of delivering purely emotive-driven content to the highest degree. Well, dear listeners, I've happened to come across quite a few guest mixes from those that I mentioned, as well as a few others, that I will do my best to trickle down from the cosmos so that I can provide the aforementioned in-flight entertainment more so on a semi-regular basis. The first gem that I wanted to bring to the light is this mix by Silas entitled 'Spring On The Battlefield'. I was fortunate to have gotten ahold of Silas and received a bit of a description of his method and meaning for this session: The mix was recorded live on 4 decks, and a sampler and recorded in one take (after a few practice ones)! The story behind that mix was that I was really inspired by some classical elements but also lots of electronica too. At the same time I was reading something about World War 2, and the article cover (not one used on mix) really struck me as its showed two pictures, the field during the war and horror and the field now, where the land had recovered and beautiful countryside remained and really impacted me. I wanted to capture that, and put a mix together which was a imaginary epic film score, and made you think of the UK countryside, fields, loss, war, life, dark and light, bravery of soldiers in all wars, getting old and flying (loved how the spitfire sample worked) and what can be better than Thom Yorke and full orchestra ending it! When I found that cover photo for the mix I knew it was right, and it actually the first time one photo really captured the mix or what I had in my mind anyway! You'll easily find why I seek to emulate Silas' flawless execution and attention to detail. The delivery of art will leave your breathless and floating within embers of glory and melancholy. Peace. Ep 135the sky awoke, bringing us light from the heavens
**yawn** Oh, there you are, dear listeners. You seemed to have caught me at a moment of residual drowsiness while experiencing my peacefully calm awakening. Give me just a second to open the curtains to let a sliver of morning light into my hovering capsule as I prepare a warm cup of coffee to thaw out my still-wandering grey matter. Would you like coffee, tea, hot chocolate? Name it, and I'll prepare it for you so that our morning routine of our minds slowly blossoming into the day is met with success and gratitude. If you'll allow, I'd love to drop a coin into the cosmic jukebox to get a jingle going. I have just the one. It's a lullaby wrapped in the stars and delivered softly to the transmission tower that beams radiant solace in the form of aural sugar. Today, as we climb skyward, you will notice the fog in our minds will give way to clouds that form familiar figures that only our individual imaginations can decipher. These clouds are multi-purpose in that they also form pillowy soft foundations that help us prepare for witnessing the splendor of Mother Earth coming around. Once the sky begins to awake, cherish the moments of viewing blissful colors in the sky, hearing the sounds of earthly gears beginning to rotate, and seeing life flourish once again. This phenomenon happens daily, but every time it's like the first. Bask in the glow that rains down from above, and realize the fortunes you have to be given allow you this luxury. Take time to reflect upon those who are not with us and no longer have this awakening luxury. In their honor, celebrate an appreciation for them that they impressed upon your memory with peaceful reverence. Seeing the sun rising and setting is a commemorative episode, one which we should celebrate. You old boy Tonepoet is here to hang out with you in the cloud chamber during this event. Mentally bathe yourself in the rich light that the heavens have delivered to you. This is a nectar of renewal, so lather up, rinse, and repeat. Unify with the peaceful envelope of optimism, hope, and emanate good will to one another. Yes, I'm a hippie today. It would be remiss of me not to mention this episode's esteemed co-captain on the voyage who happens to be one of my all-time favorite artists: HIDDEN SKY. Hidden Sky soared up from the land down under and boasts an impressive vault of sonic poetry. I own every Hidden Sky release, I'd be a fool not to, and I did my best to insert his music throughout the mix. Pay Hidden Sky a visit and show the love. Peace. Ep 83drifting to the Imaginary North
Guten Morgen/Tag/Abend/Nacht (CIRCLE ONLY ONE, PLEASE), dear listeners. I am ecstatic to be able to deliver to you a uniquely fresh tapestry of solace and beauty. This quest was brought to life from a single entity that ascends skyward to the highest reaches of the IMAGINARY NORTH. You might be asking 'well, what makes THIS particular episode so unique?". Well, it's a celebratory session of the glorious label IMAGINARY NORTH, curated by ambient artist extraordinaire KILOMETRE CLUB (Daniel Field). Having started in 2022 (a mere 2 years since publishing this), the label is already leading the charge in finding unbelievably focused artists that are producing some of the finest ambient moments. Yes, dear listener, all selections (and much more) can be found via a single BANDCAMP page (drift there, thank me later). This amalgamation of sound is GMO-free and enriched with nutritious inspiration to replenish the minds of carbon-based souls. If you've been looking for a single source of flawless serenity within an oasis of sound and color, look no further, I'm leading your right to it. A single path to a source chocked full of unlimited opportunities for quenching your mind with symphonic enrichment within the ambient realm?!? Say no more. I've got you covered and you didn't even need a doctor's prescription for it. As we begin the ascent towards the IMAGINARY NORTH, allow your vessel to relax and sink a bit deeper into your soul cushion. Ep 82the sunbeam (that burns through the shadows)
Dear listeners, I have yet another very important tale for you today, and one of absolute truth! This is above and beyond the tale that I laid upon your mind in the podcast Camping Under The Stars, Vol. 5 (Sanctuary), which was a mere 2 weeks of living off of the land and surviving on hot dogs, bananas, and peanut butter. Dear listeners, this tale stretches across 3 years. 3 long YEARS!! It is not one that was pleasant, but it had a(n eventual) happy ending. How does that tie into today's episode?? Well, let me tell you....... In a time not long ago, during a weird and upside-down world of toilet paper shortages and no haircuts lived a content little dude whom we will call Poemhobbit. He lived in his happy village with his happy family and created musings of aural jewels for people all over the world which he delivered like an Easter egg. Well, for some odd reason, Poemhobbit and his family felt that they should travel to a land unknown, so he sold his tiny cottage dwelling quickly and with a prosperous outcome. Poemhobbit was so happy! But, before he and his family would decide on the perfect place, they would live in a less-than-desirable village that was infested by a sub-societal mob of unhappy zombies that smelled of burning skunk cigarettes. 'It is okay', thought Poemhobbit, 'it will not last for more than 3 months. I will take this negative experience and thrive, nonetheless. These 3 months will go by quickly and we will have departed before any misery sets in!' And so it was..... However, those 3 months turned into 6 months. Then, into a year. And, yet another year. And another year after that. And anot........wait, how many years is that?!? So, Poemhobbit was stuck in this prison-like dystopian cubicle for 3 years. And, the misery did set in. In fact, it festered like a cancer. The family was unhappy, hope had abandoned them, their dreams turned into dusty cobwebs, and escaping was something that was never even talked about without malice and regret. Poemhobbit was miserable, and his joy for the arts became a chore and a cumbersome endeavor. It was difficult for Poemhobbit to weave sounds and spread joy when it had escaped him. But, Poemhobbit never gave up. He didn't always allow his family to know of his struggles, and instead fought to shine positive light on the negative situation. He fueled them with his (fake) optimism and assurance. Moreso, Poemhobbit had to really convince himself that his misery was perception, and that his ambitions would pull him out of the quicksand. He had to be the beacon of light, the sunbeam to those that depended upon him, and somehow find the strength to burn through the shadows and dust. 'Stay strong', Poemhobbit told himself, 'and let those that follow you tread upon a path of optimism and diligence.' Well, as fate would have it, persistence finally did win. Poemhobbit held out and never stopped raining hope and optimism upon his family. They were eventually able to escape the inferno of stinky skunk cigarettes burned by sketchy circus clowns. This journey in time was very debilitating physically, emotionally, and spiritually. If Poemhobbit gave up hope (which nearly happened many, many times), then he would have let down his family. In the end, Poemhobbit found a nice cottage in a small village where he had laid his wishes. Fortune smiled down upon his family, and the fire inside him rekindled once again. The struggle for comfort had finally subsided. Sometimes, to succeed you need the positive person around you to inspire you and light up your ambitions. Sometimes that person needs to be you. While the modern world wants us to let out everything and seek comfort from our hardships, your boy Poemhob........... I mean Tonepoet, believes that controlling this like a water spigot and knowing when, how much, and to who you water your hardships to is an exercise of optimal self-control. Seek a co-pilot that can give you guidance when you need it, so that you can ignite the light inside those that rely on you for assurance during tough times. And, in turn, be an inspirational sunbeam to others. Things will work out for you if you show persistence and patience. Ep 81guest mix: artificial owl recordings label mix
Hello, dear listeners. Today, I have a special guest mix by a label that I follow and truly love. ARTIFICIAL OWL RECORDINGS is a new and mighty label whose mission is to break down the traditional walls of predictable ho-hum ambient and introduce deeper atmospheres and wider spectrums of sound into our universes. I was fortunate to have been given the opportunity to share with you all quite a few tracks (over 1 ½ hours of music!) from AOR in a stellar mix by the label’s founder and curator, Niko Dalagelis (One Of Them). Dig into the history and mission statement of AOR below as you take in some truly mystical vibes not of this earth. Pay AOR a visit and show them the love. Oh, and their artwork is beyond astounding! ------------------------------------------------------------------ When did Artificial Owl Recordings come into being and what was the motivation to start a label? Artificial Owl Recordings was created in 2019 by Niko Dalagelis. Niko has been writing music as ONE OF THEM since 2008 and before that as Niko Dalagelis (since 2000). The One of Them project has always been more focused on the deep and ambient side of music, and the label was created to release his first ambient album entitled Sithabo. Niko had been releasing his music on numerous international record labels in the past and felt that it was time to release his own album on his own record label. *** Where is Artificial Owl Recordings based out of? Artificial Owl Recordings is based in New York city. The 4th release just came out recently (Excogitation by the artist One Of Them). Prior to this, the label released a full album by Spain's OG Miguel Ruiz aka ORFEON GAGARIN who has been in the scene since the 80's, and a full album by ORBITAL PATTERNS. The label's vinyl is globally distributed by Paris Yoyaku and all the records can be found around the world in select record stores. Our 5th release will be coming out in the Spring of 2024 and it will be work from legendary music producer Satoshi Tomiie and his A_A PROJECT. *** How did you find your current roster of artists and what is your outreach looking like in the future? Listening to new music and following underground artists is the focus for finding artists that can be added on the label's roster. *** How many people (and who) is behind Artificial Owl Recordings? What kind of future endeavors lie ahead for AOR? At the moment, Niko is running the label. The future of Artificial Owl Recordings is to keep on releasing underground experimental music that will be available on vinyl. The weirder and deeper the music, the better :) ------------------------------------------------------------------ Turn on, tune in, discover new music... Ep 80mental drift, vol.3
My fellow travelers of the aural universe, I'm so very happy to have you all here as we lazily flow into a continuation of the Mental Drift series. As with any amalgamation that is woven, special consideration is given to those of you that may feel alarmed by disruptive and angular sonic anomalies. Our mission here at the Spaceman's Transmissions laboratory is optimized towards the analyzation of our sketches. It is during these rigorous processes that the removal of diluted mish-mash and scratchy, if not, dull and turbulent static are discarded. Dear listeners, we have baked you a morsel of mental release made with only the freshest natural ingredients. All allergy free. This sweetly baked bite-sized snack is a mere hour(ish) of an escape journey, and is one which requires only a very tiny fraction of of your devotion. This will allow you to paint your grey matter with colorful light and provide your creative spirit a smooth path inward towards your cerebral control center. Allow the gears of your mind the pleasure of connecting with what really matters: you! Sink deep into your own universe, you owe yourself that. There will be no bumps or turbulence along the way, as we are drifting calmly and slowly upon a mental breeze of comfort and beauty. Take a moment to gaze skyward and marvel at how wonderful you are. Celebrate your uniqueness with a smile and a sense of motivation towards your utopian sunset. Don't hurry through this journey. Rather, let the slight breeze set the course of the voyage. It will steadily (and purposefully) carry you to where your creative oasis resides. Stay there awhile, and rejoice over the beauty of everything around you. Your old boy Tonepoet is there to ensure that your mellow flight of peace is every bit as rejuvenating as it should be. Revisit Spaceman's Transmissions often, and invite your loved ones along so that they, too, may take advantage of the mental reset that we afford everyone. The journey was, is, and always will be a free ticket to the calm skies within your amazingly underappreciated personal space: the galaxy between your ears. Ep 79the future is now!
It's hip, it's new, it's here, it's now, it's the FUTURE, dear listeners!! Now, I have an idea what you might be thinking of when you ponder what the future actually is. Machines, robots, automation, absence of the human element? Or, is it the ability to harness the means of connecting diverse sets of people with common goals, aspirations, and creative energy to develop a communal sense that encompasses much more than what we envision? I'm going with the latter. It would be so easy to bury our heads in the sand and ignore what some might call 'progress'. You're not incorrect with stating that this constant perpetual forward motion becomes cumbersome, requiring us to constantly evolve to fit the need. Now, for many, the future is not always so bright. It's an unfortunate thing that we often choose to ignore that populace and persist in our own bubbles of contentment and comfort. That's not living, dear listeners. Living is sharing the light in your universe with a soul who is subsisting on shadows and sorrow. Dear listeners, since I've been sending out the transmissions, I've been working to bring a brighter sun into your sonic universe. It's up to you now to spread your positive energy to those that need it, to provide the shade over their burnt ambition and water the barren field of their failures. Provide the minerals of belonging to those unlike you and watch their fields of admiration turn into a fertile land of giving. If you want to live in an amazing world then you have to build it. With what, you ask? Well, with other people. Surround yourself with water and you swim. Surround yourself with people who you've unrolled your joy into and you will thrive. Nay, you will build your legacy! That's living, or more so, that's living after life. Okay, story time. I used to go to Walt Disney World in Orlando every year with my family when I was a little kid (I lived an hour away and it was, at that time, affordable). I remember going into a ride called Tomorrowland. It was absolutely fascinating. The one part that I remember the most, and that still sticks with your boy Tonepoet, is witnessing a scene of two kids on separate sides of the world talking to each other through a television screen. I marveled that one day I would be able to send messages on the other side of the world. With Spaceman's Transmissions, I'm able to do just that. Lesson? Grasp the future with both hands and turn it into your launchpad of discovery. Peace. Ep 77...and we slowly drifted into another tomorrow
Hello, beautiful listeners and travelers of the cosmic tapestry. We've have had some relaxing times while wandering around the peaceful forests of aural canyons. We've dipped our toes into a calm, yet vibrant, stream of brilliantly blissful moments. There comes a time when the spacecraft must align the controls for yet another destination in search of the vivid beauty from echoing dreams. While it's blissfully effortless to lay in the pasture of calm, pillowy thoughts and star gaze while recalling worlds unique to ourselves, we have to slowly and softly uproot ourselves in effort to keep on truckin'. This minor disruption is but a very momentary displacement into yet another realm of as-of-yet unseen and unfelt bliss. Our goal is to seek the optimal oasis. All that I ask of you, dear listener, is to ensure that your belt buckle is firmly fastened for another journey into the unknown. Taking mental snapshots of comet tails and celestial dust is highly recommended as we drift sweetly into our new destination. Save these snapshots within your scrapbook of dreams. Each new endeavor we seek to undertake requires effort, and each effort requires resources and creative fuel. Sure, you could apply minimal effort and coast on closing your eyes tightly and shaking your head for 10 seconds to bring yourself out of a slump. But that sort of solution is not a problem solver at all. Rather, it is but a mere distraction like shaking a jar of wasps and expecting them to behave. Nay, dear listener, your reset and expulsion into the realm of rejuvenation requires a recoating of your grey matter with the sweet nectar of sound and color. This journey is designed to do just that. Feel the tingling sensation of new synapses awakening, old neurons developing fresh pathways, and a soulful re-awakening. Here, you will come to realize that there are indeed more peaceful pastures to explore and camp at. Spaceman's Transmissions is devoted to ensuring that your flight there is brewed with equal parts beauty, intensity, comfort, and solace. You have our guarantee or your money back. So, drift into the spacecraft with your boy Tonepoet at the helm, and slowly (snail's pace) buckle yourself into your dream pod for an expedition through the cosmos. Together, we'll all make the journey to another tomorrow and seek to optimize ourselves by letting go of the troubled baggage and stocking up on positive atmospheric transmissions. S1 Ep 1guest mix: lepque (unknown universe)
For this guest mix I present you, the listener, with an absolutely stellar outing from an ambient DJ that hails from Hungary. Not only that, but the only female ambient DJ in Hungary. How cool is that? Beyond a measurable scale of incredibly cool. Lepque started out as a radio DJ, but got the bug for digging into ambient via Peter Namlook and Jonn Serrie, and has been fighting for the pure ambient style for over 10 years now. The name 'Lepque' is a play on the word 'Lepke', which means butterfly in Hungarian. She claims that it comes from the moth symbol. Just as a moth seeks the light, but dies when reaching it, Lepque also prefers to stay in the background, within the cool and soothing darkness. When not preaching the gospel of ambient at a number of festivals at Ozora, the Sziget Festival, VOLT Festival, Waha, and many others, she's afforded the opportunity to spread her art in the club scene as well as radio. When performing at festivals, she is the lone wolf, representing the weary in their unique and mysterious space. In this world, she takes pleasure in witnessing thousands giving in to the sandman as she weaves her sleep-inducing sonic yarn. Seeing the happy faces the next morning proves that it's not just dance music that is welcome at festivals. We are very similar in that we both draw a distinct line between ambient and other subgenres of chillout music, like lounge or downtempo styles (that others claim is ambient). One of the biggest wishes for Lepque is that she can make people realize what true ambient is. As with this space-themed mix, her main focus is to tell a story and present a theme with each creation that she conjures. Through her dreams she develops ideas, and becomes the music storyteller. Her other wish is to eventually release her own music. After hearing her mix, and taking it in, I am pretty anxious to what has been bouncing around in her mind. Lepque, thanks so much for allowing me to host this, and I look forward to witnessing your future dreams coming to light. Ep 76bloom
Hello, dear listeners, travelers of the celestial realm, and co-pilots. This new session evolves around the ethos of an album that I just put out entitled 'Bloom', and is one that ushers in a re-invention and reinvigorating of our mental and physical being. As we weather the storms of life's turbulent forces, we need enlightenment and encouragement so that we can pick ourselves up, knock of the dirt and negative vibes, and bring in a rebirth and passion for not only living but striving. That's it, dear listeners, striving!! And THRIVING!! It rhymes, and now all of a sudden I feel like Dr. Seuss. Working to be better tomorrow than we are today requires incremental steps. We hear the expression 'Rome wasn't built in a day' and, well, neither were we. Take the time in planning your re-entry into the world as a better version of yourself every single day. It requires mental energy to develop the creative means to plan our re-entry into our proposed new world, and it takes physical energy to implement those changes around us. But, the biggest and most effect change is within us, in our minds and hearts. Work to calibrate and synchronize these with your new mission. Expend the mental energy so that the task of pushing through your boundaries is well rewarded. This session is your comforting pillow of that much needed mental reset. We at Spaceman's Transmissions propose that you set aside a quiet hour-ish of time to let everything go, and let the tapestry here guide you to the prairie of peaceful vibes. A place where you can assemble your collage of innovative endeavors which will bring your incrementally closer to where you view yourself. Fill in the gaps that separate where you are and where you want to be, as if you are patching holes in the wall for a fresh, new coat of colorful and vibrant paint. Through effort and realization of your potential comes the reward of a newly emerging you! The stormy night that you endured will pass over you, and the stage will reset for you to explore and set up for new scenes to create and thrive in. Lather, rinse, repeat. Don't take your renewals for granted, dear listener. Celebrate each victory as a reward to yourself for reaching and surpassing milestone, not unlike traveling past a dark cosmic tide to reemerge into a realm of a breathtaking starlit field of beauty. I'm with you, dear travelers, and as your co-pilot I have full faith that your journey and effort will yield great success. Okay, yes, as mentioned, shameless plug time (sorry!). I put our a new album entitled Bloom (of course) which can be found by going to https://www.tonepoet-music.com. My music was, is, and always will be free so that you can all have access to it. It is my gift to you, dear listeners, as my thanks for your attendance during the voyages that we undertake. Peace. Ep 75camping under the stars, vol. 5 (sanctuary)
Dear listeners, I have a tale for you!! It was one of the best/worst thing to happen to me delivered by our sweet Mother Nature. I had been planning a camping trip for 1 whole year with a high school buddy (who only knows me only as a metalhead, shhhhhh......). He had never been to the mid-west, in any place like South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, or Idaho. I had, but for work-related travel, which was a soul sucking endeavor and left me devoid of any potentially wonderful life altering experiences. Our plan went from imagining to planning, and would take us to The Badlands, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills, Devil's Tower, Bighorn National Forest, Yellowstone Park, and beyond. It was going to be fantastic. I bulked up some snivel camping gear and I was ready. Imagine that: me, a sissy novice camper, eating barbaric foods over a fire and having a flexible agenda while listening to nature at night in a tiny tent. What could go wrong? We didn't bother to plan more than a day in advance, just in case we liked something so much we decided to explore it more. How exciting!! The first day after flying into Rapid City, SD was the Badlands. We hiked all over it, went places where we probably should not have (including into a buffalo field about a mile's walk from our car, how very wise) and spent about 12 hours there. It was blissful! That night, we set up camp at a very basic campsite. I was awoken in the morning at about 2:30 to hear some distant thunder and some very light sprinkling that lasted about 30 minutes. Perfect. In the morning, the sweet breezes dried everything flawlessly. This is how it is all going to be. Or so I thought. After another few days, we were succeeding, and confident. Nothing could defeat us! On the 3rd night, we set up camp at a popular chain camping place with great amenities and were nice and comfortable. We didn't even bother to see if it was going to rain. Like I said before, what could go wrong? Well, yeah, dear listener, I found out how wrong it could really go for us. I was awoken that night at around 1:30, and there was a torrential downpour above us. Not only that, it sounded as though the wind was whipping at about 300 miles per hour, and massive hailstones were pummeling my tent. There were flashes of lightning that seemed like a thousand suns happening every 10 seconds and thunderclaps with deafening roars. Not gonna lie, I was extremely petrified. I could hear by buddy sneezing non-stop in his tent during it all (we were under pine trees, he has a very bad allergy) that multiplied my fear because I knew that the end is near! It lasted for 2 hours, and I buried my head within my sleeping bag and wondering why I thought that it was wise to sleep under a lightning rod, uh, I mean a tree, and planning my escape to the car at a moment's notice if needed. Dear listeners, I was relegated to the fetal position and turning back into the sissy camper that I really was. I was indeed back at square one. When we woke in the morning, we had to carefully pack (after shaking out) all of our drenched gear and drove 5 hours to a hotel that was gracious enough to permit usage of a private room in which to completely dry out our gear. Dear listener, I made promise to Mother Nature that I would use my fortune of survival against the elements to create a session in the volume of the Camping Under The Stars series. I could only happily oblige. Even though Mother Nature can be comforting and offer serenity and peace, she also exists to put us in our places. She provides a balance of awareness, and offers us sanctuary. Remain cognizant of her beauty and power, respect her intentions, use this session to overcome your challenges, and invigorate your senses with monumental breakthroughs. Make the time to exercise your new mental awareness and gain a new appreciation and respect for Mother Nature in all of her beauty. Shameless plug time!! The very last song is an original song of mine that will be released on an upcoming album (waiting on one last song to be mastered). You can find my music at https://www.tonepoet-music.com Another very last thing, I did record a few sounds from this crazy camping trip and posted them to the app White Noise (I'm not affiliated with them, and I'm not endorsing anything, I just use the app). Ep 73as the light moves through the air
It is that time of year, dear listeners, where we once again set sail in the celestial sea of diamonds in search of a better tomorrow, and seek the renewal of our mental energy and creative awakening. I'm here to assist you in your voyage, as you know that your old boy Tonepoet would never expect you to navigate blindly through the ether. It is you who will guide this ship through the pathway of stars, and I am more than happy to be your severely relaxed co-pilot. As we sail gently along this route, let's reflect on the things in the past that made us happy and engaged. As we bathe in this nostalgia, start to bundle up the negative energy and various letdowns of this past year so that we may set them afloat towards a black hole, never to be seen again. While you might not see it, there is a lighted path towards a better you, and a tree that sprouts positive vibe. Steer the craft towards this tree so that we may taste the nectar of positive energy and enlightenment. Understand that this tree withers and fades, and seems to lack the abundant life at times. Yet, this tree is constantly growing, even through the darker times, and replenishing it's weather beaten suit in effort to rise up in the seasons of growth and replenishment. This is not unlike us, dear listener, as we seek to keep growing, and still do so, even during the darkest of times. That period of perceived stagnation is only a readjustment. Use this to recalibrate your mind and energy. Awaken with your renewed strength. While we become one with the light that burns brightly into a new tomorrow, close your eyes and feel the air move by you. It's subtle, but it's there, and that is out indication that we are still drifting toward a higher plane of existence. Take it in, and enjoy the journey. I will see you all in 2023. Peace. BTW, Merry Christmas!! This is my gift to you, sorry that I couldn't wrap it somehow! Ep 71journey to the forgotten land of dreams
Hello, co-pilots and curious star hoppers. Welcome to Spaceman's Transmissions, your home away from home in the aural universe, and your most trusted source of inflight entertainment during that peaceful ascent into the ether. I'm aware that there are many of you out there that have given up on your ability of assembling the dream machine into a working apparatus. You dismiss dreams as an escapable entity, afforded to only a privileged few. It seems as though we have all experienced the phenomenon of déjà vu at some points in our lives. Wasn't I here before, why is this familiar, don't I know this person from somewhere? In many cases, if we dug deep enough into the well of our own creatively subliminal souls, we could find that it was our own bubbling well of dream intuition which had brought us to that magical space. This proves that those dreams are there, somewhat hidden or obscured, by other pieces of information that create a cloud cover. My mission is to assist you in dissipating that cloud cover and leading you to the field of creative wonder. Take steps to learn about lucid dreaming and documenting your dreams once you awaken. Find ways to be creative without being critical or dismissive of your artistic abilities. These practices will open a creative portal in which the tides of color and light will flow. No one is born and able to speak a language, ride a bike, or navigate a spacecraft to the stars. It's all a learned process that takes practice and determination. Navigating to the dreamer's landscape is no different. We tend to dismiss obscure dreams as a hindrance, or an utter confusion of entangled nonsense and senseless weirdness. However, dear listener, it's much deeper than that. Travel to that forgotten land of dreams and build a mental bridge to your waking self. Lather, rinse, repeat. Ep 70awakening the light within you
Ah, dear travelers, it has been a good spring and summer so far for your old boy Tonepoet with lots of sightseeing in the West Virginia mountains, hiking in the hills of western Maryland, and traveling the mid-western states of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana. I've climbed mountains, swam in waterfalls, and breathed in some of the cleanest air on earth while taking in sights that only our sweet Mother Nature can dispense. And through it all, my initial thoughts were 'if only I could contain my sense of awe and wonderment into a aural package and gift wrap as a present to my listeners'. Well, my wonderful co-pilots, why don't I do just that?----more---- Taking in the color-soaked sounds of this session guarantees an optimal listening experience. And, dear listener, I truly mean experience and not a passing distraction. As I have touched clouds, I seek the same for you all. Sink into your self, and slowly rise up to the layer of cottony softness in which we will find our craft of voyage. To merely listen is passe. To experience? Not only a goal but a requirement! As you climb into your cloud-craft, maintain your position on the status of the mission. Be sure to balance the components for a successful journey: equal parts dreaming, wondering, elating, and prospering. Find your equilibrium and begin to slowly awaken the creative light within. It is your fuel, and the well that provides the sauce for this motor of mindful innovation will never run dry, provided you nurture it and visit it often. Just as this juice of inventive source rises to the surface, as does the sun beyond the horizon, shining a light that guides you to those places within that bring your dreams into focus. Ep 69as you wade in the pasture of dreams
Merely drifting aimlessly from one destination to another in effort to avoid turbulence (aka 'responsibilities') can sometimes be ideal to optimize mental energy and seek out momentary minutes of solace. However, one must put the brakes on at intervallic points with the sole purpose of enjoying colors of the blissful moments that abound. Not every instance of every day is one that you wish to freeze time within, but there are those pockets of subliminally divine moments for each of us that beg our undivided attention. Finding the optimal time to sink into can be a daunting task. There was a time where your old boy Tonepoet was whining (yes, I do that from time to time) about not having enough time to do something, in which a co-pilot explained that I should make the time instead. Then he handed me a tissue. This, dear shipmate, is regaining focus, motivation, and purpose. For you, dear listener, this means that in order to sustain the fuel for your mental tank and to endure the effort of climbing higher, it is imminent that you focus on keeping your craft in tip-top condition. Yes, this requires that you dock said craft for necessary pits stop from time to time. Allow yourself to run to the pasture just beyond that pit stop into a pasture of dreams. Feel no guilt as you take this time to replenish and rejuvenate yourself within the soothing cosmic atmosphere. Look around you, listen around you, take it all in, and exchange your weary breath for a breath that is rich with mentally empowering nutrients. Ahhh, tastes like heaven. As we let go of everything for just a moment, find yourself and conduct repairs and maintenance upon you! When we are finished, realize that you are far more equipped to undertake challenges now that you invested some time and peace to yourself. Ep 68lullabies for the weary traveler
The staff here at Spaceman's Transmissions understands your dilemmas, dear listeners. For this reason, we choose to offer our empathy through a pathway of sound; one that ushers you into a realm of contentment and solace. Every session brewed in the Spaceman's laboratory was carefully cultivated by the highest ingredients and balanced with equal measures of intensity, beauty, and wholesome nutrients. Morsels with an equilibrium of sonic nutrients and flavorful colors? Say no more. Do not be alarmed by the initial systems check of the pod, dear listener. It is a necessary precaution to ensure that your traveling arrangements are safe and secure so that we may traverse our destination without worry of derailment, or rather, distraction. Where are we going? Well, glad you asked. There is a cosmic ocean whose tides ebb and flow with cleansing potential. We will wade in the warmth of this current and bask in the beauty of a constellation that is unique in its stunning splendor. As with every mission with Spaceman's Transmissions, we must expound upon our objective. In turbulent and disruptive times such as these, we shall repurpose our vision and direction. Your boy Tonepoet gets it: you are weary. I bind myself to an unwavering commitment of cradling you for a mere hour so that I may dip your mind into the chocolatey sweet syrup of rejuvenation. Having you as my co-pilot is a wish fulfilled, and providing a comforting blanket of cosmic wind is my pledge to you. You know what? Enough jibba jabba already, let's depart for this freshly amalgamated sea of swirling colors by traversing the starry pathways of bliss. Take the controls, dear listener, and steer the craft towards the crystalline waters beyond the galactic wall. For it is there where we shall rest as we gather our thoughts and admire the glistening skyline with one another. Ep 67memories, not dreams
Welcome to your home away from home, your oasis of mental reset, and that place beyond the stars deep within the cosmic ocean of solace. This newly branded aural pool of euphoria ushers in 2022 and is one with special purpose and intention. By this title, your old boy Tonepoet is not telling you that you should dismiss your dreams, or that they are obstructions, or even that they are lifeless longings that you shelve in favor of 'responsibilities' (there's that word again, I hate that word). That is quite the opposite, dear listener. To dream is to feel alive, and turning those dreams into triumphs and memories, that is to actually live. This is the endlessly flowing river of potential where we want to find ourselves. Understand that the ebb and flow of the currents and tides might feel like a discourse, but it is merely a test of your drive and ambition to reach the higher ground. So many time we hear the phrase 'live your dreams', and 'turn your dreams into a reality'. Dear listener, do I look as though I'm trying to sell books here? That's a big, fat negative. What I present is not a ploy or scheme, but an opportunity for us all to reassess our potentials and measure them up against our dreams. Find those gaps that exist between the two and fill them with effort and fortitude. If you don't dare dream it, you can never hope to plant your goal in the fertile garden of wishes. I am here with you, dear listener, and as always nudging you in that direction towards your highest potential. Much change begins with the mind, and it is the mind that takes in aural cues for motivation and fuel for the victories over your challenges. Use this session as that replenishing fuel and creative mind-juice. In turn, take charge of those dreams and create memories from them. Peace. Ep 66a fragile breath within the forest of echoes
Shhhh, listener, do you hear that? Nothing? Well, you are correct. We need to focus on that nothing, see where it comes from, and embrace its existence. Today, we're seeking that oasis that creates moments of solitude and solace. At undefined intervals within you daily life, it is vital for you to sink into your personal think tank which allows the reverberation of your own thoughts and aspirations to develop and spring to life. This creative space is our moment in time to plant the seeds of creativity and peace. There is so much going on every day that we begin to lose sight of our own objectives. In doing so, we give a very vital piece of ourselves to those objectives and responsibilities (meh) that dull the sharpened blade of your mind. You can't see the forest through the trees. Now, it's time to cultivate the fertile land of your inner sanctum and grow your own forest of a flourishing wonderland. Focus on the single thought that will bring your inner forest of beauty and depth into existence. Spend the time and effort to develop that seedling into a sapling with the care, attention, and love that promises to reciprocate its full potential of blessings. Feel free to add saplings of good thoughts and vibes, and care for them in your garden of beauty. Visit this sanctum often, as needed, to gaze and walk among the fruits of your own labor of love. Spending that time and effort pays in dividends which are indescribable yet rewarding. Enjoy your garden, as it it becomes the forest which you wander through in times of need, cultivating the carefully tended landscape which is the creative reflection among the echoing chamber of life. Ep 65day dreams
We've arrived upon a new experience that is guaranteed to guide your flowering mind into a realm of solace as it engulfs your grey matter within a sea of illumination and color. With our feet firmly planted on the ground, there is nothing to say that we can't reach for the sky, letting our imaginative souls reveal the heavens above that we seek to drift among. Reach up, dear listener, and take hold of those elusive day dreams. Reward yourself with the pleasure that you experience while floating among the sweet nectar-like embers of creative energy. Our daily lives are filled with challenges and distractions. They are but obstructive branches in the river that hinder the flow to your creative island. Use this session to optimize a pathway that navigates us around these obstacles and into a current where day dreams take hold. I seek to merely guide you there, among the channels that spark your creative flow and ease your minds for a single mere hour. It is my gift to you, and I ask for zero in return other than assurance that I piloted your journey well. Your old boy Tonepoet is here for you, and ever amalgamating voyages to the stars and beyond. Search out the artists within this session and keep dreaming. Ep 64taking flight
Salutations, co-pilots of the cosmic landscape. Let's climb aboard our floating craft and drift along the astral plane. Destination: a colorful cerebral universe. Speed: a glacial pace. Outcome: successful ushering of brain sugar in the form of an aural transmission. Do not take this mission for granted. Actually, never take any mission for granted. The quest for unleashing your creative potential and igniting your synapses helps develop and therefore execute creative solutions that enable you in becoming more human than human and are not to be taken LIGHTLY! Sorry for yelling, listener, I'm better now. Mild freakout, but panic averted. In the not so distant past, I released an album with another artist named CloudFall that was an honor and tribute to an event that I hold near and dear to my heart, and one that defines my childhood. The album is Taking Flight and was a concept of a single day in the life of a skateboarder from morning until evening. Nope, not kidding. You can find the album at www.tonepoet-music.com (as with all of my releases, it is free). Anyhow, I try to steer clear of using my own compositions (as I tend to favor avoiding self-appreciation and whatnot), however, I did use the opening track and that last two from my own catalog. I do like these songs, so I decided to use the title track and actually name this travelogue as such. Okay, enough lame self-gratification, I'm starting to get a rash. This session has been optimized with only non-GMO, certified organic, all natural, detoxifying cognitive jelly. Do not be alarmed when this jelly coats your grey matter. The tingling is not unlike an aphrodisiac. I might add caution to operating heavy machinery as you soak up this amalgamation. You would never operate a hammer jack upon a floating balloon, would you, dear listener? Please answer 'no' to this. Now, then, let's carry on with this gentle yet uplifting mode of transportation and lightly drift through the clouds, shall we? Ep 62lone pilots of the celestial tapestry
Hello, travelers, and welcome to a special edition of Spaceman's Transmissions. It is deemed essential that we take the time to calibrate our creative synapses that gently glide us through life's daily obstacles (I generally use the dirty word 'responsibilities', so ugly this word!). Let's turn challenges into goals, lemons into lemonade, and transform setbacks into a star chamber that is ripe for your journey to which you seamlessly pass through and emerge with a clear mind and a sense of self-ownership. While the title mentions the word 'lone', let it be known, dear listener, that your old boy Tonepoet would not abandon you during this liberating endeavor. Rather, it is you that is will set the controls in motion, allowing you to become both navigator and successor, emerging from this cocoon onto a celestial tapestry that will provide your direction and ambition. I am your co-pilot, here to assist with direction and motivation. It's what I do. As we spend this mere hour thrusting into a galactic curtain, free yourself from the constraints that act as a negative gravity field and rob you of your potential to float above. If necessary, don't hesitate to engage in additional sessions with this tapestry in effort to develop the skill of performing the functions pertinent to frolicking in a cosmic garden of tranquility and inspiration. Please do something good for someone today, as well as for yourself. Become the glue of humanity that positive events and fortune stick to and the rest of the human race will follow. Ep 63an ocean of stars
Look up at the night sky, dear listeners, and tell me what you see. A vast and empty curtain that swallows up light? A void riddled with tiny diamonds? A dark and lifeless pasture? Now, look past that, and begin to transcend above these former descriptions of the cosmic drape. It is the cosmic ocean, and it's much more vast than we can conceive. This galactic wall is graced with glistening stars like well-worn shells that are eroding to reveal a delicate sheen, illuminated planets that produce reflective shimmers not unlike ocean waves, and a stunning moon that drifts like a sand dollar in the sky. That is the true cosmic skyscape for all of us; the limitless sea of unimagined intensity and grace. See it for what it really is, and immerse yourself within its cleansing cosmic tide. As we drift within the cosmic tide, give in to this ceremony of cleansing your senses and mind with the sweet nectar of this aural current of sound and light that carries you into the ether. Permit this current to guide you to that destination which yields an oasis of wonderment, purity, and self-purpose. It is here on this island within the star speckled ocean in which you are rewarded with an awareness of your potential and creative drive. Spark your ambitions with this flame of enlightenment. The staff here at Spaceman's Transmissions takes deep pride in producing only the highest quality products for our clients. When your old boy Tonepoet steps out to get fresh air, do not assume that he has abandoned you as an aimless, drifting co-pilot without a mission or destination. This detour is only an effort to reassess an optimal pathway to our destination and to forge new means for attaining the zenith of our journey. You, the co-pilot, will always be vital to every voyage. So it is said. An absolute acknowledgement and ridiculously extreme 'thank you' goes out to Uplifting Pills for not only serving up like-minded initiatives, but for hosting this mix and being an amazing resource and friend. Ep 61waiting for the sun to arise
In my particular sector upon Mother Earth, the days are getting shorter and colder, and seeing the sun in the morning is a ceremony that seems lost. Even with sleep being a hobby of mine, I nonetheless cherish that small bit of time that I get to spend watching the sun birth from the edge of the world. It takes longer and longer, and I often wonder if I will indeed spend the entire season in the shadows while anticipating a daily thaw from that voyaging star of illumination. Winter in my sector of our spinning globe is getting shorter, and my good friend the Sun has been taking this opportunity to hibernate and prepare us for an awakening. My moments within this solar tide are limited. What time that I do have basking in the golden rays become a ceremonious event. While I love my sleep (oh, how I do!), these sacred bites of time with the Sun illuminate the dismal fog that can from time to time pollute the mind with lethargic motion, breaking away the layer of smog that dampen creative flow and an ocean of solace and joy. This tapestry was amalgamated using the freshest ingredients with only organic means of production and distribution. Ep 60come on, let’s go!
Hello to all of you travelers floating in the ether. It's not anything new: times are tough, and 2020 is turning out to be a disappointing year with a lot of turmoil, unrest, and terrifying unknowns. Is there nowhere to go to escape the problems of the modern age? Yes, dear listener, there is. As you read this, I'm unfurling my parachute and checking the straps and seams to ensure that more than one passenger can take this voyage just beyond the (at times) dark present upon Mother Earth and float just above the surface and into a layer of light and solace. While you might think that it is absolutely silent and free of turbulence where we will soar, it is indeed not. However, from every dark moment, a light appears as if to shine down on a struggling seed to bust through the soil and find new life, purpose, and direction. Your open mind will provide the jet stream in which we will wander, and your creative flow will breathe life into the air currents that will lift us just above and beyond that which we seek to circumvent. As we take this journey, realize that there are peaks and valleys of surface tension, and it is the ultimate test to you, dear listener, to enhance that mental muscle and develop your ninja sense to comprehend that while we skim along the darkness, we persist so that we may soar effortlessly among the periods of good fortune and its rewards. You are but a floating seed in the sky, so take this time to germinate and blossom while adrift. I'm counting on you. Do what you can for the world, for people, and for yourself to move ever forward no matter how slight it may seem. Enhance the lives of others so that your life will be rewarded with centering yourself with those you lift up. Keep your head up (and in the clouds at times if needed) and know that better times are always just a comforting breeze away. Ep 59camping under the stars volume 4 (revive)
Once again, it is time to amalgamate a tapestry derived from the goldmine of Bandcamp (and beyond). As the weather begins to melt the frigid layer of our hibernating pods, we begin to see, hear, and feel our beloved Mother Earth awaken. In doing so, she invites us to enjoy her beauty, preserve her sanctum, and commemorate an event that truly resonates life and rebirth. It is time to revive, sleepers! Let's awaken in unison with Mother Earth and reinvigorate our mental and spiritual energies that keeps our synapses firing with progressive thoughts of art, music, and joy. Yes, let's become hippies. Clean, social distancing hippies. Joking aside (but not really), now is the time to plan what you will do to express your gratitude to our delicate and beautiful Mother Earth for another amazing voyage around the sun. Since last year, I've started spending my time with family on a short camping trips, sharing campfire stories, roasted (and sometimes burnt) marshmallows, hiking adventures, and a sense of appreciation for the natural phenomenons that we take for granted. Since we, meaning you (dear listener) and myself, share the craft in which we transverse the celestial heavens together, I cannot help but consider you family. Therefore, I require your attendance for this journey to be a successful one. While we practice social distancing, you should nonetheless know that as your camping guide (me!) is just a thought away and sworn to keeping the cherished listeners that chart these waters close in spirit. Though we experience the challenge of distance, our spiritual connection through this amalgamated aural mosaic allows us to share this experience with one another. I have shared my flight pod with you, and thus, I shall share my tent with you as well. With that said, we will exercise social distancing, yet share our stories with a comforting campfire between us. In taking in the tapestry, please be sure to pay a visit to the many artists that shared the labor of weaving this dreamy session and let them know that your camping co-pilot Tonepoet sent you. Okay, climb in, get comfortable in your sleeping apparatus, and indulge in this soundtrack created for camping under the stars. Peace. S1 Ep 58daydreaming in a sea of stars
Now that we've dipped our toes into the celestial heavens on our last voyage (in effort to gauge the cascading ripples of the skyward current), it is safe to say that the celestial oceans are now at ideal conditions for our immersion. Current systems here at Spaceman's Transmissions are at 100% capacity for a deep dive to the depths of that twilight beyond own galactic curtain. Within the safety of our individual listening pods, we will transverse across the obstacles of time and space, and for a mere hour we'll lose ourselves while soaring just above and beyond the terrestrial horizon that we feel bound to. Have comfort in knowing that the systems integrations for interstellar travel are of top priority here at Spaceman's Transmissions. Our staff maintains that successful flight and the aural experience potential is at the upmost importance for our innumerable well pleased clients. While we expect the turbulence to be at a mere minimum upon this flight, keep in mind that safely buckling in gives one even more peace of mind and an allowance to more freely gaze upon the remarkable celestial monuments that we'll encounter. Seeking an optimal listening position or scenario is ideal for squeezing the sweet nectar of space travel into a glass in which you consume your ears, mind, and imagination. Letting go for a minuscule amount of suggested time provides you, the listener, the most favorable conditions in which to successfully complete the voyage with minimal interruptions (also known as 'responsibilities'). Such an ugly word, it gave me a rash to mention it. But, I digress...... S1 Ep 57the sky is not the limit
Hello, and many greetings, dear listeners. I wandered a bit off course in effort to calibrate the controls to enable us optimal performance in drifting above the grey clouds above that we believe to our limitations. Let us be on our voyage. While you would think that reaching just beyond this curtain of grey is the final destination of achieving your zenith, this is merely the prologue to life's true journey. Just beyond that lies a sky of blue which will give you a better glimpse of the sparkling cosmos. Beyond that which you cannot see or fathom is your true potential. No one can tell you where that ends, and you yourself cannot even know, as it is not the end of the journey that matters, it is the journey itself. The journey's end is a vital goal, but reaching that does not unveil your potential. The arc of your potential is actually a milestone to a greater thing. Reach beyond the sky, grasp your real dream and live to be the better you. Turn on, tune in, go above and beyond... S1 Ep 56illuminate
Let's embark to a distant whereabouts that is virtually impossible to see through the clouds. It's there, but you won't see it if you fail to imagine and visualize. Your imagination and belief will permit you to soar into the wind and higher than the reaches of turbulence and static. It is within this place that your mind finds peace, your spirit finds joy, and your ears steer your destiny. As you drift slowly towards this objective, feel free to let the pillow-like squishy reassurance of cloud cover envelope you in skies of white. This fluffy blanket seeks to yield you a hiding place for you to collect your thoughts, as if you were collecting and sorting pebbles found in a pond. This action allows you to reanimate your purpose and direction. At this point, the controls of your craft are enhanced to enable you to soar with greater control to your defined destiny. Use this tiny segment of time within your life to replace that dulled bulb of your past with a fresh, new glowing source that emanates confidence, control, and a renewed self-awareness. This illuminating source of light will burn the debris that causes you stress, and, in doing so, frees your mind and untangles your soul. Emerge from your cocoon and fly high! Thanks for traveling with Spaceman's Transmissions, and I hope that your flight is a pleasant one. We, the staff, look forward to servicing you on another flight and wish you the best. Peace. S1 Ep 55the world has not forgotten you
Salutations, my friends. We've had a good few voyages that have led us to new creative boundaries, and it is yet again time to board the space pod for a trek into and through the majestic cosmos. We'll be temporarily enveloped in the sparkling light that illuminates the non-reflective void of space as we set the controls for a new destination of solace and beauty. To believe that this particular outing does not include you, or that you have no time for the journey, is to be very mistaken. It is a fallacy to insist that the space pod co-piloted by your boy Tonepoet has limited seating and will steal your time away without any incentive. There was a time when I complained I didn't have enough time to do anything until a good friend (with way more complications, liabilities, and responsibilities than I) told me that it is useless to find the time and rather we must make the time. Set aside this piece of the day for yourself to rejuvenate and re-calibrate those vital synapses that are necessary to keep your forward momentum pushing into the stars. While there are so many issues and things of importance in your life that seem to overshadow your own preservation and well-being, these issues can't find their way to the path of resolution without that vehicle of transportation being in tip-top shape. That vehicle that I'm referring to is your own vessel: the physical, spiritual, and mental self. Take this mere hour-ish of time to realize that you are indeed an individual of importance that is needed and valued as an asset to Mother Earth. Don't forget that despite the obstacles that distract you and weigh you down are not as important as you the individual. When you feel as though the pressure of insignificance bears down on you, press it back up with elephant legs and push through. You matter, and the crew here at Spaceman's Transmissions is depending upon you as a team member to assist in flight control guidance. Keep in mind that you matter and that the world has not forgotten you no matter how deep in the mire of responsibilities and turmoil you seem to have waded into. Use this session to recharge your sense of being and to rise back to the top. I'll be standing by with another session of renewal and a towel for you to dry off. Peace. S1 Ep 54and the rain must fall
When the skies turn grey, our minds tend to close in on themselves as an attempt to both provide cover for our fragile creative grey matter as well as a spiritual shield that helps us fast forward to the next sunny day, the next bright moment. The skies I'm talking about are both the physical and the metaphorical. The metaphorical being the darker moments that seem to weave in and out of the better moments during our journey upon Mother Earth. If we had no setbacks, no dips in our our good fortune, and no dull moments within the glistening sea of bliss, we would not have an accurate way to measure our successes. We would not have a reliable means to balance our joy against the temporary grain, and the value of our rejoicing would be lost. Let's dip our toes into a puddle of equally balanced light and dark, of perfectly brewed yin and yang. With this particular journey, take the stress that weighs you down, put it in a basket, and let if seep into the tiny puddle that flows to the sea. Every venture with Spaceman's Transmissions is intended to be an enlightening path that picks up the rough stones of turmoil and shines them into shiny pebbles that light the way. Take repeated listens to this episode when you feel you've lost your way and need a bit of guidance through the color and light that the staff here seek to share. Along the way, be sure to share a bit of good vibe with those around you in need of that guidance. That's karma. Peace. S1 Ep 53at the edge of this world
Let's embark on a path that takes us to to the edge of the world to get a glimpse among the stars. We'll need a special tapestry to aid us in our liftoff and provide us with security while experiencing zero gravity. Do not be afraid of letting your mind go for a mere hour of the journey. Rest assured that you old boy Tonepoet will guide you safely during every phase of our semi-astral deployment (I am and will always be right alongside you during our journeys). It is time to find that envelope that separates the seam of our world and the beyond. Within this envelope is a key that could be hidden in a tight corner pocket of the envelope, just out of sight. We can't find it with our eyes, we find it with our ears and mind. Use this key to start the engine to the pod that we will call our home for this session. The eyes create a specific friction that we call 'distraction' and it robs us of our peaceful and effortless travels to that universe where we unlock the secrets of creative mobility and boundless potential. It isn't our eyes to create pathways that are instrumental in the creative means to achieve situational success. Rather, it is our minds that are the Rube Goldberg machinery for which we develop our innovative resolve. Let's assemble that aural contraption that brings us closer to understanding that galaxy beyond our own. With this said contraption, we will succeed staying grounded while having a head full of stars. A complex yet perfected amalgamation of space music and earthy colors allows us to saddle these alternately diverse scenarios. There is nothing wrong with having your head in the clouds (or the stars) and keeping your feet planted firmly upon Mother Earth. As we taste the stars and bathe within the cosmos, allow yourself to become replenished and renewed with an appreciation of your existence. S1 Ep 51hibernation poems
Hello, fellow travelers of light and sound. It is I, Tonepoet, your host here at Spaceman's Transmissions and co-pilot of the pod that will once again allow us to drift above and beyond the real turmoil that exists all around us. It is with concentrated effort that we will construct a journey that glides on sound, far above and beyond the terminal frosting of our beloved Mother Earth. In fulfilling the suggested lighted path of our course, we will find that it gives us a rebirth of creative focus. Give yourself a mere hour on this flight to rise above the worldly concerns that prohibit our necessary flow that brings peace, comfort, and a sense of self-worth. It is winter (for half of the world, and definitely where I am) right now. The days are shorter, the nights colder, and our bodies seek to adjust to new and unwelcome situations like frigidly uncomfortable hands and feet. As most might believe that the world is dying during this season, that assumption is far from the truth. Mother Earth is merely adding a coat of wax to her beautiful figure so that the journey through the blue starlit ether is a smooth one. Rather than lamenting on the process, let us celebrate this vital step that guarantees us a transformed shiny, new vessel that will sail us through the galaxy. Call it a necessary evil, but it is more likely a replenishing hibernation. Realizing that our drift is not to ignore the glorious event that is unfolding (that event called 'winter'), but rather an assessment of the value that it truly possesses. One last thing. This session, while calibrated for the period of winter solstice, is available and free for use in any season. Come back to it anytime you want, even if only as a reminder that there is a period of renewal that yields a brighter horizon. Peace. Turn on, tune in, sleep... (note: I lost all of my music a few weeks ago (thanks to a defective external hard drive) with the exception to what I have gathered in the last 1 1/2 years. Thanks to everyone that has sent me music since then, it is helping me stay afloat. Luckily, I uploaded some things to a few clouds that I was able to save. S1 Ep 50dreamers, unite!
It's been a good while since I've had the opportunity to sit down and review a good bit of the music that I've been sent (thank you all for sending music, I've gotten so very much and it means a lot to me!). During that time, I've had to tend to some personal matters. This required a re-routing of my original destination in effort to assist wandering souls in calibrating their compasses to pinpoint and sustain an optimal voyage destination. It can sometimes feel as though it is a thankful task, but it never goes unnoticed. Touching the hearts and souls of others is and will always be the reward for which no monetary value can determine. Throughout any turmoil from others as well as myself, I sought to lose myself within the colorful universe of our collectively cherished existence: the beauty and solace of music. Even now as I present to you my travel log that exposes my deepest thoughts, I am swimming deeply in an ocean that is created by swirling magical colors, riding a peaceful current of pillow-soft dreams, and capturing the visions that will never have capable words to describe them. It would be selfish of me to not break off a piece of this hypnotically beautiful confection to share with like-minded wandering travelers. Rather than to present raw ingredients without appropriate instructions, I relish that ability to package this experience into a digestible morsel for your ears and mind. This offering is certified organic and uses only the freshest ingredients for every palate to enjoy. And it's allergy-free! This particular session is guaranteed to rearrange the mental clutter that is slowing your creative mind, all by attaching a saddle to your dreams and ambitions with the intent that you will guide that personal journey. Your grey matter is stronger than any computer that will ever be built, but it is also susceptible to way too much useless static. This static robs your synapses of ability and dirties up your creative thoughts, all while borrowing precious space within your mental universe that should otherwise be used for those things in life that truly inspire you. This mix is also a safeguard against the impending turmoil that creeps up like a dark foreboding cloud and seeks to light a path of illumination and resolution. Use this session as an awake or asleep time to collect, gather, and sort your clutter. Rearrange and recycle yourself, and keep the coals hot with inspiration. Peace. https://www.tonepoet-music.com http://www.facebook.com/tonepoetmusic *shameless plug: I put out a new album and I'd love for you all to enjoy it. S1 Ep 44lullabies for the skyward soul
Let us gather up our mental baggage for a drop into the deep blue abyss of space. In undertaking this mission, our soul purpose is to sort out the tribulations of life that are weighing us down. As we sail into the cosmos, allow the weightlessness of space to assist you in gathering up and sorting the difficulties that you face into manageable statuses of priority. Tackle these situations with the determination that you will succeed in the task of putting them behind you with a closure of your desiring. Rely on those that have looked to you for guidance in such circumstances with the understanding that a team of cosmonauts will always outweigh the effectiveness of the sole traveler. Remember to return favor when they need you, and assure them of your gratitude with the gift of friendship. This session will serve as your in-flight entertainment, and there is no additional cost for such an amenity aboard this flight. As the captain of this flight (that's me), your attendance as the co-pilot is greatly appreciated. Even with the controls manned by myself in this venture, you are nonetheless a very vital asset to this mission. Together, we will take on the obstacles that seek to sway the path and obstruct your success. Let us witness the cosmos in a way that is unique to each of us, taking in sights and sounds designed to renew our minds and souls. Thanks for boarding this flight with me, I look to many more ventures together in the future. Keep on keepin' on. Peace. S1 Ep 43lifting the fog
Now that springtime is here (and summer approaches), our beautiful Mother Earth is awakening and renewing once again to celebrate another rotation around the Sun. Where I live, the weather had maintained a winter chill that was abnormal. Although the trees are trying to sprout their leaves and the butterflies yearned to dance, the world around me was still clinging to jackets. The turbulent minds of many were clouded and not susceptible to witness the monumental event of Mother Earth's transformation. I ask you to step into this session in effort to escape to a place that exists full of your expectations of beauty and solace. Take that fog that burdens your mind and mutate it into a blanket of comfort and assurance. I am aware that by the time this session hits your ears and mind, the weather will have already made a shift. But this is not about the weather, it is more about the chaotic events that swirl and envelope you in dire times which fabricate the mental fog that dulls our senses. As we spend this mere hour-ish amount of time to inwardly assess our current course aboard Mother Earth, we should not be bogged down by the negative pressure which seeks to compress and dissipate our desires, decisions, and wishes. Even when events don't work out in our favors, there is still something to be gained. Just as these events us forever who we are, it is in our best interest to find the why. This is to say that the outcome is not as important as the journey that brought us there. Savor the path, embrace the change, and refine yourself into the newer you that rises above the fog. Turn on, tune in, sleep... https://www.tonepoet-music.com www.facebook.com/tonepoetmusic TRACK LISTING “Adrift” by Quantum Collisions from Quantum Collisions (Start Time: 00:00) “Natsukashi” by Volei from Wander In The Warm (Start Time: 06:24) “Maine” by bedroom from The Inner Pattern (Start Time: 10:48) I Saw Three Moons” by TUNESURGE from Tomorrow Lights (Start Time: 13:39) “Our End” by Ben Woods from Passing Intervals (Start Time: 15:33) “It's OK” by The Greatest Hoax from Expiration Compostions (Start Time: 17:56) “North Way” by Otto A. S1 Ep 42sleepers, awake!
We are slowly thawing out from winter's harsh sting, and with springtime upon us, it means that life is once again ready to begin flourishing with a renewal of beauty and wonder. Oh, how I relish the warmth and comfort of this ceremonial event when the days becoming longer and Mother Earth sings us lullabies of being alive! To show my gratitude to this celebration, I toiled in creating the perfect backdrop to welcome this festively monumental recycling of the beauty that we are rewarded that is all around us. Use this session to realize and appreciate Mother Earth's selfless service in delivering us another year in which to look backwards as well as forwards in an effort to perceive the magnitude of life which we should appreciate. It must be noted, that this session is not meant to wake the soul from a slumber (that is never the sole mission of Spaceman's Transmissions), but rather to greet our waking Mother Earth with the commemoration of rebirth. You may rest easy, dear listener, and take comfort in knowing that our mission here is not being altered or misaligned. Do not emerge from your position of solace and mental prosperity with some alerted sense of discomfort. Rather, envelope your aura with a greater sense of solace in knowing that Mother Earth is providing a venture for you as your travel on her back. In posting this particular session, I wanted to bring to light an amazing release that is a required item for every library. I chose to purposely open and close this mix with songs from Colliding Galaxies' release FIRST CONTACT. It is an unbelievably incredible album that I highly recommend. It is a pay-what-you-want release, can't beat that. Do yourself a favor and check this artist out. Solid releases from an astounding new artist, I'll be sure to keep up with him and keep sharing the love. S1 Ep 41the universe within you
After a very brief (yet well warranted) detour on our journey through the cosmos, our mental space pod is once again ready for boarding to yet another destination that is not altogether definable. Rather, the journey that we are undertaking is to collect the many surreal images that our beloved universe possesses. With this session of aural projection, I've granted your mind's eye an opportunity to gain snapshots of beauty and solace as we drift to the edge of the universe. While you might be tempted to take a giant leap past the galactic wall to satisfy your temptation, it is at this event horizon that we will rest, and reminisce about everything in life that has made it such an amazing voyage for you. We will also use this opportunity to realize that your glass is always half full, and that whatever grief or anguish that seems to weigh you down is indeed weightless in space. At this time, allow yourself to release this baggage to be devoured by the forgiving cosmos. During this ceremony, realize that it is not the destination itself that makes you who you become, but rather the journey to that destination. As we let this session burrow its way into our ears and mind, let us not forget that the universe exists in a quite small space, smaller than what you imagined. We can assume that it lies entirely within that space between your ears. This is the space that matters the most, as it stores our precious memories, dreams, and wishes. It creates the colors and plots the passage to the bigger and better things in life for which we strive. Nourish this space with optimal means provided to allow yourself the benefit of reaping optimum solutions. For this purpose, I've amalgamated these tapestries for you, dear listener, in hopes that you will gift the same vibes to those around you in an attempt to make your universe a uniquely stellar one. Drift on and find that peace. Set the compass for the edge of the universe then turn on, tune in, sleep... https://www.tonepoet-music.com https://www.facebook.com/tonepoetmusic TRACK LISTING “Liftoff” by Nobody from Nothing (Start Time: 00:00) “The Seventh Sun (Excerpt)” by Michael Garrison from An Earth Star Trilogy (Start Time: 00:36) “Be Something” by Dave Preston from Be (Start Time: 01:37) “Now And Not Yet” by Hammock from Mysterium (Start Time: 05:07) “Wake” by Ben Woods from Passing Interval (Start Time: 11:01) “Casualty” by Factory from Home (Start Time: 14:09) “On A Grey Sea” by Inchoate from If It Were Quiet (Start Time: 17:17) “City Lights” by Kylmyys from Dawn (Start Time: 21:02) “Gathering Waves” by Matti Bye from This Forgotten Land (Start Time: 25:33) “Senescence” by The Greatest Hoax from Expiration Compositions (Start Time: 28:31) “Starstuff 1” by Vangelis from Rosetta (Start Time: 30:59) “Ocean Theme (Time For Sushi)” by Jamie Vance from Unknown (Start Time: 35:35) “G2” by Zeos from Fairytale Pt. 3 (Start Time: 37:13) “Rain Of Stars” by Poemme from Constellations III (Ambient Reflections – The Bright Side) (Start Time: 42:04) “Flow” by Inchoate from If It Were Quiet (Start Time: 47:01) “Adrift” by Quantum Collisions from Quantum Collisions (Start Time: 51:47) “Sundrive” by Phorous from Sundrive EP (Start Time: 56:55)
S1 Ep 40camping under the stars volume 3 (rebirth)
It is time once again, dear listen, to recognize and celebrate those who grace BANDCAMP with the presence of their aural artistry. I'm continuously inspired and in awe of the amazing vibes that live and breathe on Bandcamp, searching for a home within our minds and ears. ----more----With a small bit of searching, one can reap the benefits of the artistic fruits that creative artists have toiled over, with hopes that their creations will find a new world to take root in and germinate within us. Color your world with this session, and enable your mind's eye to relish the beauty and integrity that these artists present to you. I am but only a lone traveler and advocate among the cosmos that puts the wrapping paper upon the gift with hopes that you will taste the chocolate and search out those that have created the confection for you. No calories will haunt you as you allow yourself to surrender to its addictive nature. If you are interested in finding these releases (only 3 of them require payment, the rest were free), pay a visit to my sister site (http://ambient-transmission.blogspot.com) and search 'Camping With The Stars' to find links to the artists' Bandcamp pages as well as links to the releases themselves. Please pay them a visit, and if you decide to purchase anything, take comfort that you in turn are inspiring the artists to keep producing an intoxicating sweet nectar of musical juice. S1 Ep 38following the path of a dream (collaboration with cosmic caveman)
Hello, weary space travelers. Today, we are embarking on a special journey that is manned by two cosmic pilots that are both certified dream weavers and licensed in sonic amalgamation studies. I'm blessed by the attendance of a qualified technician in the field of aural science in an effort to tweak this morsel to its optimal state of flavor with maximum mentally digestive capabilities.----more---- Together, with the rewarding and inspiring assistance of COSMIC CAVEMAN, we were able to build a strong team of like-minded and goal-oriented unity. Collectively, we designed a tapestry that is beyond our initial prototype of a journey that begins and ends in a surreal dream world. Dreams are an unpredictable affair, and as they form and unravel at whatever rate it is that they do, we are rewarded with a universe that is unique to the individual. We ask that you open the gates to your mind, and allow that space that exists between your ears (to include your ears) a safe haven for the unfurling of this voyage. We assure you that within this union of sound you will have the opportunity to add your own dreams as a glue to further solidify the significance of this offering. Even the negative meanderings perhaps need to surface to the light to bring about new creative solutions and recognition. Use that as an opportunity to right the wrongs and find your way. Cosmic Caveman and I hope that you personally enjoy the experience that we've created for you. To hear more of his deeply sincere admiration of the ambient realm, visit his MIXCLOUD page and take in some delicate journeys. We very much hope that you continually seek a creative and mentally prosperous mental universe. Follow that path to your innovative higher self. Peace. S1 Ep 36to find that place called home
Just recently I got to take a trip home. I was able to get my head right and fill it up with a good bit of nostalgia. I've lived the majority of my life away from where I was born (which I will always consider my home), and even though I'm still fascinated by the many ventures that I've taken (I've lived in a few different countries and have traveled extensively throughout the US), there really is no place like home. ----more----As persistent as I've tried to be escaping home, it always still draws me back with some sort of invisible force created by my memories. Trying to separate that seed from the tree is a very futile and meaningless event. I've always looked at those who chose to live close to the place where their favorite childhood memories were birthed and didn't really understand how these people didn't move on. Now, I can say that I understand and sympathize with those individuals. Let's keep in mind that our home is truly where the heart is, and being surrounded by those that you love and those that love you defines home. I'd like to pay homage to that feeling of belonging and yearning that is created by a special place within this universe that you choose to let a part of you mind and soul to surrender. This could be anywhere for anyone, and every single spot is unique to its occupant. Take this music to drift to the place that you call home, either physically or mentally. For this session, I've interlaced the selections with familiar sounds of my happy home, past and present. Use this tapestry to return to the good times that exist within your mind and embark on a journey that takes you to the the front door of sacred and treasured events that made you the unique person that you are today. S1 Ep 35mental drift vol. 2 (still drifting)
Today we will continue a journey that we began a while back, and in doing so, we will step off with the same tapestry that we ended with on that first leg of the venture. Our desire to remain in a state of fluidity is driven by the need to coexist with those factors which seem to deplete our mental and creative flow and disrupt progress and forward momentum. Let's not create the current which exists to carry us upward and onward, but rather surrender to the woven colors and enter a dreamlike state where we rise above our earthly floor. This is where we can put our obstacles in better perspective to achieve our dreams. ----more----As you begin your drift, be sure to mute cell phones and other distracting devices so as to fortify and enhance the experience of taking in every possible creative morsel to fill you hungry mind. With a blank slate, you will be able to craft your own artistically driven journey with colors that only you imagine and execute into a carefully developed tapestry. Hang this beautiful creating that is unique to you within that universe of your mind that holds the things which you cherish and save for later times when called for. Enjoy the journey and keep drifting. Peace. Turn on, tune in, sleep... http://ambient-transmission.blogspot.com www.facebook.com/tonepoetmusic
