Show Notes
We made our season predictions for the fourth consecutive year over at South Side Sox, and for the fourth consecutive year, a different writer took the crown.
And this year, in fact, the crown is worn by two prognosticators — the veteran Year of the Hamster, and newcomer Enrique Silva.
We have a comprehensive rundown of the twists and turns of our 2024 predictions over at SSS, but here are some highlights of the podcast that Melissa Sage-Bollenbach, Joe Resis and I did addressing them (and, I suppose, the moribund White Sox postseason and future):
- If not for the Dodgers, a lot of us would have been in trouble
- This trio all did well all told, with Joe finishing fourth of 18, Brett fifth, Melissa seventh
- Each of us review our favorite and oddball picks
- A look back at how remarkably non-dour the majority of our writers were about the White Sox season, silly people
- Our second half addresses some of the offseason, including the new manager, dead market, and hopes (?) for the season
- To end on a good note, we look ahead to the 20th anniversary of 2005 and our favorite non-obvious moments of that year
