Show Notes
Launching into 2024, we decided to pick the one thing we must see from the White Sox in 2024, and while our companion piece to this podcast is available to read on site, four writers (Melissa Sage-Bollenbach, Dante Jones, Joe Resis and Brett Ballantini) also opted into discussion our choices:
- Melissa broke the rules right off, coming up with two resolutions that sound “easy” for the White Sox to accomplish — but will be nigh impossible to accomplish given this ramshackle roster
- Joe focuses on the strength of the farm system, something that will be essential to improve in order to fuel a run at a title later this decade
- Dante nearly begs for something that would seem so very simple from an entity that is not just a business, but a source of civic pride: Honesty in act and word from the White Sox franchise
- A brief discussion of how goofy the fake SoxFest at the Field Museum is going to be
- Brett strikes a familiar chord: The White Sox need to dramatically improve their sense of morality and conduct themselves with a greater sense of dignity and pride
- Joe admits his White Sox addiction, a malady Brett will aim to exploit during this woebegone 2024
