When you were small what did you do for fun? How much time did you spend outside in free play after school, on the weekends and in the summer? Do you remember playing outside in the summer until it was too dark to see? Are our children so plugged into electronic diversion that they’ve lost their connection to the natural world? Today we’ll talk about the importance of play and why we need to promote it with our guest Dr. John Gaudet, general pediatrician in Hattiesburg and the president of the Mississippi chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
