God’s Calendar
TBCThe regular festivals and weekly sabbaths (ie the calendar) reinforced to the people who they were and what God had done for them. We need to have rhythms in our lives that do the same.
Atonement
Our sins were atoned for on the day Jesus died.
Clean and Unclean
The laws related to cleanliness were put in place to protect people from dying in God’s presence. For us Jesus has died to make us safe in God’s presence.
The Way
God has made a way for us to come to him and we must only come on his terms, not our own.
Before the Cross
In Leviticus The many sacrifices were God’s way for sinners to be accepted by him. They pointed forward to the one sacrifice of Jesus by whom we can come to God.
