My name is Yusuf Sharif Wilson (Advancing . . . on the I am Sober App) and I have been alcohol-free for 6 months (the recording of this conversation actually took place on my 6 month anniversary✨).
Where to begin . . . This alcohol-free journey has been one of the most significant and important experiences I’ve had in my life. While my entry-point was seemingly random (that said, I don’t believe in coincidence), the process has taken on a power and impacted my path forward in ways that I could never have imagined this time last year.
I was fortunate to come across the I Am Sober community and have been afforded access to an incredible ecosystem that has contributed greatly to my ongoing evolution. I now am committed to similarly serve others as I have and continue to be served.
I accepted and allowed my relationship with alcohol to rob me of health, wealth, vitality, clarity, focus, and life. While I can’t change the impact of the choices I’ve made in the past, my commitment to being a part of assisting others in their respective relationships with substances is certain.
Immense gratitude to Drifter and the team at Sobertown Podcast for all of their incredible efforts and work! Thank you for being such phenomenal examples and showing the way . . . 🙏🏾✨
