Interview with Diabel Cissokho; The Senegalese griot

In this show I speak with Diabel Cissokho, the kora maestro and multi instrumentalist from Senegal, after the release of his fourth album Tambacounda Express, a fiery blues infused West African record that also has essences from all corners of the globe, such as Austria, India and Morocco. He has his first show in the UK for a long stretch after touring extensively in Senegal, he is playing at Nell’s Jazz and Blues on August 27th with Afrikan Boy.
