Show Notes

We are dedicating the week to discussing all-things QUITTING, as an increasing number of Americans seek new career beginnings. A Microsoft survey of more than 30,000 global workers showed that 41% of workers were thinking about quitting or switching professions this year. In April more than four million people quit their jobs, according to the Department of Labor – the biggest jump on record.

Economists and journalists dub this trend the ‘Great Resignation’. Guest Jessica Carney is the host of the podcast And Then I Quit, where she invites guests to share funny and absurd stories about jobs they’ve quit.

We discuss when quitting makes sense, the importance of changing the narrative around quitting from one of cowardice to courage, and how to afford the transition if you don't have savings.

Hosted on Acast.
