<p>For the first fresh episode of 2021, Farnoosh sits down with the multi-talented Umbreen Bhatti, Director of The Athena Center for Leadership, Barnard College. Umbreen works with young women to build a better world. She has worked in top positions in media and law. Farnoosh and Umbreen spoke about her role at The Athena Center, how she is helping students become more money fluent. The conversation also shifted to financial sustainability, how to make conscious money moves and purchasing choices that can make an impact. And what are the benefits of slowing down your life?</p><p>More about Umbreen: She is the Constance Hess Williams ‘66 Director of the <a href="http://athenacenter.barnard.edu">Athena Center for Leadership</a> at Barnard College, where she works with <a href="http://athenacenter.barnard.edu/welcome">young women building a better world</a>. Previously, Umbreen led the innovation lab at KQED, the Bay Area’s NPR | PBS station. Umbreen also serves on the board of <a href="https://globalpress.co/">Global Press</a>, a news organization dedicated to reinventing the craft and business of international journalism by recruiting diverse populations of local women and training them to become professional, ethical journalists. She lives in New York. </p>
