Brigitte MacGowan originally quit her job in agency world to join husband Hamish’s business, a wine company that make the very successful ‘Angus the Bull’ range.
But it was while on maternity leave and through a chance meeting at mothers group with now best mate Desley Maidment that ‘State of Escape’ was born.
The brands signature ‘Escape bag’ soon earned cult status here in Australian and now seven years on the iconic neoprene tote bag is a much-loved fashion staple the world over. The entire State of Escape range is proudly designed and made in Australia. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Brigitte & Desley story and I am sure you will too. I also throughly approve of Brigitte's choice of Australian Hall Pass!
