He was released after going through Oregon’s “Second Look” process, which required him to show he had taken responsibility for his crime and demonstrated "outstanding reformation." He now advocates for criminal justice reform with a special focus on youth, who he argues are more likely to reform and deserve meaningful opportunities when released. She moved in with a friend, enrolled in school, and started making plans for a fresh start. But Paul and their 17-year-old son, Jason, were not pleased, and when Sandra held her ground, father and son began making plans of their own. Special Guest Detective Kurt began his career in law enforcement in 1971. Over the course of his career, he worked for both the police and sheriff’s departments in his Small Town. After starting in patrol, he became a narcotics officer for 10 years and then a violent crimes detective for 9 years.
