Flop Ear has been lifted up by something and he is feeling squeezed. He asks to be put down and finds out it was Tum Tum the Elephant who had picked him up to get him out of the way of the wheels of the circus wagons. Flop Ear hops back to his tree and the next day he sets out to keep looking for his home. On his way he comes across a family of mice and helps them get out of a box.
