It can be scary standing up for yourself, and speaking up for what you want. You don’t want to upset anyone and you don’t want them to look at you in a negative way. But at some point sis, you can’t keep setting yourself on fire to keep others warm. You can’t keep bending, and letting others bulldoze over you. When you speak up for yourself, you may lose some people. You may lose some opportunities. Some things may not go the way that you planned. But guess what you did not lose? Yourself.
