We join our intrepid courier heroes as they return to Thornvale at the end of their first full route aboard the Swiftwell Courier Service's Audron ships. They have successfully taken on new responsibilities, had new adventures and experiences, and they're returning a little older and a little wiser... so everything should be just as it's always been, but better. While briefly reunited in Big Sky, Kiran, Cici, and June continue to catch up about their lives since the Audron Maelstrom separated them over a month ago. A few more weeks pass, and the Courier trio reunites temporarily for the first time since Audron Prom in the city of Big Sky, just following the jousting match between the Barmwhich Perrymen and the Burning Tails Academy. June, delighted to see Cici and Kiran again, joins them at the local steak house for a meal and a catch up before returning to her duties at the Burning Tails Academy. Cici, burdened with the weight and pain of an official captial-c Curse, tries to continue to work her hardest on the Black Audron but finds that it's extremely difficult to do alone.
