The film follows Gracie (Moore) and her husband Joe (Charles Melton), whose notorious romance gripped the nation when it made tabloid news twenty years ago. When a Hollywood actress (Natalie Portman) meets them to do research for a film about their past, the couple buckles under the pressure.
