The news comes after the American Network renewed Grey's Anatomy for an incredible 20th season and The Rookie for a sixth season. The Good Doctor follows the story of Dr. Shaun Murphy, played by Freddie Highmore, an ingenious surgeon with autism and savant syndrome.
