HBO Max cancels True Blood reboot
The highly anticipated reboot of the popular TV series True Blood has been cancelled by HBO. The reboot was officially announced in 2020, with Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa roped in to helm the project. The original show’s creator Alan Ball was also attached to the reboot as executive producer. The original series is based on Charlaine Harris’s novels The Southern Vampire Mysteries, which aired between 2008 and 2014 for seven seasons.
