On April 21, 2011, Agnes Dupont de Ligonnes, her four children, and the two family dogs were found buried in their garden in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France. The patriarch of the Dupont de Ligonnes family, Count Xavier Pierre Marie Dupont de Ligonnes, had disappeared around the same time, and has never been found. What exactly happened to the family is still undetermined, but Xavier has an international arrest warrant and is considered the prime suspect in the murders.
