Apparently compassion is a trigger word for Erika Girardi. As soon as Garcelle or Crystal utters the word she spins into a teeth baring feral cat, hissing at them for even suggesting she think about someone other than herself for a second. Erika said all the things we assumed she was thinking, but now we have official confirmation that she is a textbook narcissist. Craig's horrible toxicity has arrived and it's in the form of spinning Naomie into the "crazy ex girlfriend". The reality is he never communicated properly with Paige OR Naomie and he's inaccurately delivering information to both parties. He wants the story to be: Naomie is still in love with Craig. Craig is in love with Paige. Naomie regrets ever breaking up with Craig and Craig wins Southern Charm. Meanwhile, Friendsgiving is cute but thankfully Craig is messy, Paige is mean, and Naomie isn't afraid to confront the problem head on. Kyle had the whole thing planned out. Even though she is the WORST host, she INSISTS on hosting MULTIPLES TIMES a season. So it turns out Shep is the #1 Toxic Guy in the group! I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to preemptively use grief as an excuse for all your past, present, and future bad behavior. Lisa Rinna read somewhere that people who are "grieving" act out, but I don't think she understood the part where those people weren't TRYING to be assh*les. The dialogue in this episode, albeit frustrating, was ridiculous housewives comedy at its best. Garcelle masterfully maneuvered, per usual, while Sutton employed her tornado tactic with a side of southern charm and humor. Kathy brought the shade and laughter we so desperately need on this franchise, and Crystal gave us heart and genuine emotion. The other women just did what they always do. Pia and I discuss the clear and obvious target on Kathy's back after the comments she made at Dorit's dinner and Lisa's disco night. Her first mistake was siding with Garcelle. I just realized that this episode had a lot of scenes surrounding beverages. Naomi and Craig meet for coffee, except they really want chai, but there was no chai. Venita and Olivia meet at a juice bar where they get various healthy drinks that practically become B characters. Craig and Paige have an entire conversation about his authentic beverage preferences which leads him to say that Paige loves him for who he really is hahahaha! By the way, Craig is so excited to cause some drama between Naomi and Paige. Mark my words he will package this later as Naomi trying to get back together. And maybe she was a lil' bit. Erika's blackout at Diana's holiday party is officially the drunkest we've seen anyone on RHOBH. Now RHONY, that's a different story. Sonja gets that drunk at every group activity. Kyle continues to find it impossible to understand the difference between outing a loved ones life long struggle with addiction (Kim) and a friend who is suddenly over doing it and crying out for help. Garcelle is so over Kyle and all her bullsh*t, and we LOVE her for it! This episode of BH is disjointed. It feels really choppy and has zero flow. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't enjoying the recap until we got to the end and I went back through my notes. This season feels like they are confused with how to tell the story. The cast is so split in 2 and the Fox Force Fools don't have the same power they used to so they seem even more pathetic than normal. *let me tell you how I really feel We break it all down!! So they gave us another filler episode, and I am not happy about it. There's also been a lot of build up to go nowhere. I didn't want to give a bitter recap, but they left me no choice! I don't know how much more of the Kathryn/Chleb content I can take. We don't know them as a couple, so we don't have an opinion on whether or not they should break up. They're not together IRL sooooooo, how much more of this are we going to sit through? I had a feeling this would be a boring episode of RHOBH… and I was right. The bulk of this episode was setting us up for the next chapter of drama. Garcelle let Kyle know that she is not afraid to say Erika’s drinking is becoming a problem, and Kyle let us know that she will not be touching that topic with a ten foot pole. Sheree continues to glide through the group with ease. Rinna was barely there so… YAY. But I actually would have preferred they show the Rinna Sutton lunch that they cut to the numerous Diana scenes they forced upon us. The grand finale of the episode actually warmed me to Sutton. I’m not her biggest fan, but she took ownership and showed some self awareness. We get into how pathetic Diana’s attempt to run the show was plus more reasons why she is one of the worst housewives to ever grace Bravo TV. This is one of those weeks where it's not just about the new episode but about the social media scandal surrounding it. Garcelle's WWHL appearance led to Diana's problematic and racist IG response. Rinna commented and got dragged in the thread but took to her stories to double down. She decided to bring another franchise into her mess, they have since retaliated, and now we are swimming in a fantastic all-day Rinna drag session that could go on forever for all we care! The title of this episode of RHOA is Healthy Glows and Low Blows. What does that tell us? That they should only name episodes after classic Sheree quotes from now on! We finally learn a little more about Drop It With Drew thanks to the introduction of Jackie, aka the real owner of the company. Was it great that Erika was mixing Xanax and alcohol? No. Was it entertaining and totally harmless because she wasn't angry or overly emotional and didn't ruin anyone's time on the boat? YES! She was TAME compared to Sonja Morgan in literally every episode of RHONY. Before the boat ride, Garcelle managed to coach Crystal into an epiphany of sorts, no thanks to Sutton's "clumsy" word choices (insert "manipulative"). Rinna, Dorit, and Kyle are surprisingly likable and accurate in their assessment of Crystal's pattern so I don't even know what's happening anymore! In other news, Diana sucks, and apparently, only SHE can have trauma stories to tell. No one else is allowed to (heaven forbid) try and relate and connect in any way. It's clear that Diana wants to hate Sutton and Garcelle. We are not here for it.
