Big Lots is closing some stores, and company leadership is concerned about the company's ability to survive in the future. One leader indicated that inflation was seriously hurting the company, but they were going to try to control the things they can control to stay afloat. Or as Mike Sharman put it, "control the controllables." This applies to a person's individual budget and family budget. In times of inflation like this, all we can do is control the controllables.
