Show Notes

In "Serving Aces" Alexandra Stevenson and Hugues Laverdière discuss the LA fires and the first week of the Australian Open.  Alexandra was on Pam Shriver's court in Brentwood, teaching her student when a huge plume of smoke rose in the distance from the court.  Alerts came in and a mother called her to tell her she couldn't make the lesson because they had to evacuate Pacific Palisades and their house.  Alexandra and her student packed up and got back to their houses to find that they had to evacuate.  Eventually, all of the Palisades went up in flames.  Alexandra's grocery, dentist, pharmacy, bank.  Beautiful iconic places turned to rubble in the beginning of Malibu.  Alexandra and Ougi reach into the first week of the Australian Open and discuss the players who are winning and the players who are losing.  The quote of the podcast is from Snoop Dog.  LA Strong.
