Summary: This month we are looking at the book of Jonah against the backdrop of the Wildwood mission statement. Last week we saw that Jonah did not “serve freely”. This led to his being thrown overboard as a sacrifice. But the Lord provided an amazing rescue. He was in the stomach of a great sea creature for 3 days. The Lord now has Jonah’s full attention and he turns to Him in a desperate prayer. Jonah now sees his absolute need for God and his heart is moved to worship. Today we look at Jonah’s predicament because it helps define some of the conditions that God uses to move our hearts toward Him in true worship.
