Eternal Security Without Presumption

If we continue in the faith, we have been saved. You can be part of the church and be lost. Real Christians still sin. Real Christians cannot live in sin. God will not allow a real Christian to live in sin. There are two errors: one is that people can never have assurance they are saved. There is another error: believing you are saved based on a past decision that has no effect on you today. The Lord chastens his own. Paul serves as an example. The book of Hebrews connects apostasy with abandoning the church. Hebrews warned Jewish Christians if they turned their backs on Christ, the Old Testament system no longer exists. There is a place where we can go from which there is no turning back. It's never too late to come to the Lord Jesus Christ.
