Show Notes
Ian McCutcheon is the owner of "Berida", a mixed-farming operation located just west of Gilgandra. "Berida" boasts one of the largest and oldest woolsheds in the district, having been built in 1899, which has become a hotspot for agritourism opportunities.
In this episode, Ian discusses the challenges of running a cattle, sheep, and grain operation simultaneously. He also shares his insights on the importance of surrounding yourself with good advisors and how it helps with critical decision-making. Finally, Ian shares his experience with agritourism and how it has helped connect the local community with the farming history of Gilgandra.
Cropping advisor Tim Bartimote caught up with Ian for this chat one sunny afternoon around the kitchen table.
