You would think a 41-year ultra-decorated career in the United States Air Force with more than 7,000 flying hours and 337 combat missions in Vietnam would be enough travel for this Lebanon, Tennessee native. But no. "General Bradley" as he was known by his 75,000 U.S. Air Force reservists under his command, created the Lamia Afghan Foundation. Inspired by a little girl in Afghanistan simply asking for a pair of boots, Bradley and his wife Jan have made numerous trips to the Middle East region providing millions of pounds of humanitarian aid, while also building schools and clinics to serve Afghan girls. His compassion is matched by his candor during this intense conversation detailing life after the Taliban takeover and his beautiful efforts (giving all credit to his wife) to make life a little better for those under a brutal regime.
