document history. Landing in Nashville with the Tennessean in 1998, John’s journey to Middle
Tennessee included California and South Dakota. Described aptly as a “painter of light,” this
author of Zen photography has captured some of the most iconic images of the 2010 Nashville
Flood, several tornadoes, the Christmas Day downtown bombing, the state legislature along
with volunteering to chronicle the War in Afgahanastan. He’s also a fascinated with cooking
and one chill, good East Nashville “jparti” dude.
