Ron Mercer, a basketball legend from Goodpasture High School and former NBA player, is being inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fames 2026 class. Known for his high school success and college national championship with Kentucky, Mercer is celebrated as an inspiration for young athletes. Drafted sixth overall in 1997, he played eight NBA seasons with various teams. The induction ceremony is set for July 11, 2026, in Nashville.
