Yelm High Schools sports medicine students, led by instructor Gary Clinton, are heading to Pasadena for the American Academic Competition Institute regional event. The team, the largest Clinton has taught, has been preparing rigorously with twice-weekly meetings and extra review sessions. They aim for a top three team spot, with Sofie Miera, a top three finalist for national high school athletic training student of the year, leading the charge.
