Washington States Razor Clam Digs Announced: Prime Low Tides from March 17th to 24th
The Washington state Fish and Wildlife Department has announced razor clam digs at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, and Mocrocks beaches from March 17th to 24th. The series features prime low tides ideal for harvesting. Digs start with evening sessions Tuesday through Thursday, then shift to morning low tides starting Friday. The weekend digs overlap with the Ocean Shores Razor Clam Festival. However, Copalis and Mocrocks beaches wont be open every day. Best results are achieved one to two hours before low tide. Each person gets a daily limit of fifteen clams, kept in their own container, and the first fifteen dug must be retained, regardless of size. Those aged sixteen and older need a 2025 fishing license, available online or at vendors statewide. Tentative morning digs are planned for April 1st to 7th. Kalaloch Beach remains closed due to low clam populations.
