Show Notes
"What's your favorite scary movie?" These words literally defined a generation of horror movie fans. And the helm of this question was Drew Barrymore as Casey Becker. No matter who you talk to about "Scream," there is almost not an instance where the 1996 original film is discussed without the resounding adoration for the opening sequence where Casey Becker gets a phone call, watches her boyfriend get murdered, and is fatally attacked herself. It is considered one of the greatest openings to any film in history and set the bar so high, arguably nothing in the "Scream" series has been able to top it. Join Ryan and guest Gerald Morris (host of the "Two Peas on a Pod" podcast) to discuss in-depth, Drew Barrymore's involvement, the shocking opening scene, and the character of Casey Becker.
