Episode 0018 "And Nothing but the Truth"
Original Story by Ian Martin Directed by Himan Brown Host: E.G. Marshall
Of all the great killers of history, perhaps the deadliest and most terrifying is the automobile. Nero, Attila the Hun, Lorenzo de' Medici, Bluebeard. Even artillery fire and the ultimate, the atom bomb, at least have a purpose, a reason, a rationale. But the automobile maims or kills mindlessly.
Was the accident we heard a few minutes ago another statistic of the road? An innocent victim? A careless driver? The victim's family broken and lost? A young man whose carelessness had blighted a bright new manhood and a promising career? Or was the driver lucky this time? Lucky in a way far beyond his hope or expectation. We're about to find out with David the young driver as he paces his living room floor waiting for his father to come home.
Starring: Arnold Moss, Ralph Bell, Kristopher Tabori, Clarissa Blackburn, William Redfield
