A lot of time the approach to exercise is as if everyone is trying to be either a bodybuilder or an athlete... even though most of us are simply trying to exercise to improvement our health. This disconnection means that many are following plans and programs centered on some very bad advice, or looking to see improvements that may not be realistic. Disconnections that are grounded in the myths that lead to misinformation within the narratives we tend use to form our perspectives about how to exercise, how hard we should exercise, and how we should progress our training in order to see improvements in our overall performance.
However, if we follow some simple rules of periodization, not only can we reach our fitness goals but see continual improvements in our overall performance. Yet many are hampered with how to go about developing that periodized approach from the beginning. Well, let's discuss how to develop a periodized approach from the start of our fitness journey.
