The following is a quick summary of a section from an upcoming book Diet Dogmas.
There is a general desire to have a quick and simple fix that we can make to our diet that can make us "lean and sexy" or "fit and healthy", a change where messaging and personality can lead us to a following a sales pitch about diet that almost makes it seem like we have joined a new religion. One such movement makes it seem like we should avoid sugars at all cost and are constantly being told about how bad sugars are and that we need to get rid of sugars in our diet... typically done by following a "Keto" or "Paleo" or "Carnivore" diet. But is the best diet to allow me to lose weight? to get health?
