Joe notes that half of all domestic consumption is being done by the top 10% of households, income-wise. He calls this concerning for democracy and the economy and discusses the difficulty the rest of the U.S. is having. Nancy reminds viewers that with the government shutdown affecting data, this is one of our only glimpses into the economy.
