David Doyle and Cory Stahle break down the latest jobs data. David says we saw “mixed signals” today, highlighting the 4-week moving average for jobless claims still “right in line.” He thinks initial claims look “relatively ok.” Cory stresses the overall picture, saying job postings continue to slow and the younger generation is getting locked out. He points out that job gains are only coming from a few places, especially healthcare, and says it needs to broaden out again.
