Stocks lifted themselves off session lows and closed mixed on the day, with the $DJI and SPX managing 1% and 0.5% rallies. Most tech companies were left out of those gains, due in part from a Jefferies price target cut against most Mag 7 names. Moderna (MRNA) hit year-lows due to a major staffing change at the FDA. Meanwhile, gold closed on its best quarter since 1986. Caroline Woods carries us through the trading session's top stories.
