Al Lord focuses on the housing market and affordability. “There is no doubt whatsoever that renting is winning the argument.” In this “crazy inflation world,” rents are “essentially flat nationwide” as buying prices have skyrocketed with no sign of getting better and mortgage rates have stayed high, he says. We’ve “forgotten the lesson” of the Great Financial Crisis, including that house values also come down. He likes multifamily REITs to play the space.
