"$3 is the new $2," says GasBuddy's Patrick DeHaan. He calls this Fourth of July holiday the "cheapest" since the pandemic but warns prices can vary greatly depending on where you're driving. Robert Sinclair, Jr. also points to "record" holiday travel expected for the weekend. Those records apply to cruises as well despite price hikes across the industry.
