The real estate market is picking up, and Alex Vidal is “really excited.” He reviews the February Existing Home Sales report, noting continued price appreciation, higher inventory, and strength month-over-month. When rates moved just below 6%, he notes that pending home sales jumped, even with recent bad weather. However, location really matters – for example, Chicago has 65% less inventory than pre-pandemic levels.
