“The apartment sector is temporarily oversupplied,” Lawrence Yun notes with surprise. He digs through the latest economic data around housing and identifies some of the latest trends. “Once the interest rate comes down, we’re going to see a rush of buyers,” he adds, with many renting apartments because they were forced to. Because of this, Yun expects a housing shortage in single-family housing.
