"Focus is on core CPI," says Chris Versace. He believes the question facing the Fed and investors will be "how much hotter than expected is the number?" Chris believes a higher number could mean the Fed would be closer to cutting rates which means "bad news is good news" for some in the markets. On the earnings front, he's watching CoreWeave (CRWV) this week as the company continues to demonstrate strong ties to megacap tech companies like Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet (GOOGL). He says guidance will be key given the significant capex spending from hyperscalers.
