As for earnings, he notes that 85% of companies that have reported beat on the top and bottom line, turning him bullish on the economy. His stock picks right now include Accenture (ACN), which he says is “on sale,” and Merck (MRK), which has “inelastic demand.” Others he’s watching include Halliburton (HAL), IBM (IBM), and more.
